Nursery Boredom

Mintkit swatted the loose twig around the nursery, bored. "I want to play! ...When can I leave?" she asked the air. "I want to be an apprentice and explore the territory!"

Minnowkit opened his eyes and looked at Mintkit. "Your time will come. Before mine anyway" He sighed and heaved himself to his paws. Stretching, he added; "I'll play with you being that you woke me up." He smiled.

Frogpaw tripped into the nursery, getting moss on the top of his head. "Hi there kits," he said with a small laugh.

Ashkit opened one of his pale blue eyes; both ofwhich would soon turn green, like his mother's. He sat quietly by Nightbird's side; watching the impatient Mintkit, also newly awakened Minnowkit, and the apprentice Frogpaw who had stumbled into the nursery, to his, and surely, everyone else's surprise.
Glancing at his mother, he silently asked her what to do on his first day awake. "Go make a friend or two.", she whispered, still weak from birthing Ashkit. She was a very small cat, after all. Licking Nightbird's ear, he brought himself to his paws and took his first few steps toward the three cats, leaving his mother to sleep. Tilting his head slightly, he asked in his little quiet language if he could play too. Surely, the white tom didn't know he could speak..yet.
Ooc- It is now kind of official- Nightbird is a queen.

Minnowkit sensed movement behind him and turned around, and saw Ashkit standing there. "Hi." Minnowkit mewed in a shy voice and attempted a small smile. "W-would you like to join?" He stammered.

After being nudged by Nightbird's black paw, he took another step forward and meowed softly,"Yeah." He was barely loud enough to be heard, but that was expected. "So..uhh.. what're we going to play?" Slowly figuring out how speech worked, he scuffed his pale paws nervously. Speaking did not come to him well- maybe to spare himself the embarrasment, maybe he should talk less. He sounded like an idiot anyways, with that ridiculous high-pitched tone.

Minnowkit shifted his weight from paw to paw, only slightly stretching his hearing to hear Ashkits voice. "Umm well I think we are playing moss-ball." He mewed shyly. Ashkit and Minnowkit weren't that different, only, Minnowkit had sharp hearing. Angling his ears he could hear the clan murmuring away.
"How was hunting?"
"Any news on the borders?"
Too many voices were clustering his ears and he shook his head.

Streamkit woke up from her nap and stretched.Coming over to join the kits conversation,but afraid that she was going to get bullied because of her smallness.H-hi.I murmured waiting to be made fun of.

Ivykit yawned, her light green eyes opening for the first time. She noticed some older kits with a younger kit, so she nervously walked over to them. " Hi i'm Ivykit, who are you?"

Ooc- Hey can Ivykit be on of Nigghtbird's kits too? She doesnt currently have a mother.

And by the Ivy you can make up one or ask a she-cat that's warrior to be your mother I made up one her name is Applebreeze. ^-^
