Stormkit's Apprentice Ceremony

"Let all cats old enough to swim gather to hear my words!" Reedstar's yowl came from the ancient willow tree dominating the center of camp. It was already time for another kit to be apprenticed. So many new kits and warriors as of late... The leader silently wondered if he should start calling the old tree something. There was the Great Rock for Fourtrees, his seat needed a name as well.

Stormkit padded out of the nursery and started to groom himself. He assumed that it was his apprentice ceremony, since it was time after all. His coat gleamed in the bright sun and he sat and waited for it to begin

Reedstar smiled and looked down upon the kit. "Stormkit, you have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Stormpaw. Lightstream will be your mentor."

Stormpaw quickly padded down to his mentor and touched noses with them. Yes he was excited, but he kept a calm face during the whole thing.

Lightstream was so exited! She now has an apprentice! She touched noses with her apprentice and smiled.
