Leafpaw's Warrior Ceremony

"Let all cats old enough to swim gather to hear my words!" Reedstar called from the willow tree, his tail swishing. Three new warriors in the past few moons. He was proud of that fact, to say the least. RiverClan was growing stronger each day.

Leaf paw emerged, her tail held high. Sitting down, the apprentice couldn't wait for her warrior name.

Reedstar purred as the apprentice stepped forward. "I, Reedstar, leader of RiverClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. She has trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend her to you as a warrior in her turn." The leader flicked his tail as he stared down at her. "Leafpaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your Clan, even at the cost of your life?"

Leafpaw nodded. "I do, Reedstar."

"Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. Leafpaw, from this moment you will be known as Leafstream. StarClan honors your kindness, and we welcome you as a full warrior of RiverClan." Reedstar leaped down from the branch and in front of the new warrior and touched noses with her. "Night gathers, and now your watch begins. You will hold a silent vigil over camp tonight while we sleep, and guard the Clan until daybreak."
