Spottedpaw felt joy and pride well up as she snapped the bird's neck. That was three! She had completed her assessment! It was all she could do to keep calm and thank StarClan for the success of her hunt before going back to collect her mouse and squirrel. As she headed back to camp with the fresh-kill in her jaws, Spottedpaw seemed to walk with a new spring in her step.

Dewclaw was indeed watching, and with deep interest. She felt a rush of excitement for the older apprentice when she saw the last piece of prey go down, but stayed silent. She stalked away to watch Snowpaw, who had just caught her first piece.

Snowpaw said a quiet prayer to Starclan after she caught the mouse and killed it. She then scented a squirrel and began to stalk it quietly as it nibbled on a nut. She then pounced hopefully.
