Hanging out in the camp

Owlpaw sat in the middle of the camp, feeling bored. There was pretty much nothing for him to do. Most of the other cats were busy doing other things except for him. He hoped that some of the kits were around to play with him.

Badgerkit came out of the nursery with a soft yawn, ruffling his fur against the gently breeze. He glanced toward the nursery, wondering if any of his siblings were going to come with him; but quickly padded off. What was he doing? This could be one of his only times to explore the camp by himself! His eyes flickered around the clearing, quickly noticing Owlpaw. He frowned softly. The nursery just hadn't been the same since Owlpaw had left, and while Badgerkit was quickly moving toward being six moons old, it was still hard watching his denmates leave him and his siblings behind. The small kit glanced around the camp one last time before heading over to Owlpaw with a smile. "Hey, Owlpaw!"

Berrykit saw Badgerkit pad out of the nursery. He quickly followed to see what he was doing. As Badgerkit approached Owlpaw he followed. "Hi Owlpaw!"

Hawkkit had noticed Badgerkit leave, but she wanted to just rest a little longer. Berrykit followed, and then she decided to go ahead and see where they were going. She stepped out into the sunlight and noticed her siblings going toward Owlpaw. She trotted up to him and quickly said a hello.

Sitting at the edge of the medicine cat den, Ravenkit noticed that three of her siblings were heading over to Owlpaw, who had recently become an apprentice. It was a bit lonely since the mute apprentice left the nursery, though it wasn't really that bad, considering she was lucky to have such great brothers and sisters. Noticing Berrykit, Badgerkit, and Hawkkit all head over to the new apprentice, the raven she-kit blinked a couple times, wondering whether she should head over or not. Glancing around for a bit, she padded over, her eyes looking to the ground as she watched where she was putting her paws. The kit smelled a bit like the herbs in Shadeheart's den, mainly lavender, which she was scenting at a little while ago. Stopping a little away from the four, she kept her gaze on her paws, not speaking at all. Her green and amber eyes gave no emotion, though inside, she felt a bit lonely.

Owlpaw looked up at the four kits and twitched his tail at them to say hello. He then noticed there was a mossball on the edge of the camp, so he got up and grabbed it before passing it to the kits in hopes that they would play with him.

Hawkkit noticed that Owlpaw still wanted to play with them, so she shot over to him grabbed the moss between her tiny teeth and threw it in the air, watching it bounce to the other side of the camp. She raced after it and batted it back to the group, trying to get them to play along as well.

Berrykit yawned and looked around. He saw Ravenkit sitting away from the rest of the group. "Hey Ravenkit! Want to play?" he beckoned her and ran over to Hawkkit and snatched the ball of moss. He headed back and dropped it at Ravenkit's paws.

As she watched her siblings play with Owlpaw, Ravenkit quickly noticed that Berrykit, who seemed to appear out of nowhere, had snatched the rolled up pile of moss. Heading over this way, the kit was urged to leave and head back to the medicine cat den to try and help Shadeheart, though at the same time, she didn't really want to disappoint her siblings. Even so, she still didn't want to play. As soon as Berrykit dropped the ball, Ravenkit flung the ball towards Badgerkit, nearly hitting the tom's head when she kicked the moss with her hind legs. Looking at them, she was curious as to why they were so strong. Her brother was on the other side of camp! Though, if you tried to figure out what she was thinking, it was impossible, considering her eyes always had the same expression, a blank, emotionless expression though cold and mesmerizing as well.

Owlpaw darted over to Badgerkit and stole the mossball off him before he even had a chance to throw it back. He then passed it to Hawkkit, a tiny smile forming on his face.

Hawkkit followed the ball and caught it as it went toward her. She noticed Badgerkit focused on her and she batted it back to Owlkit. Teasing her brother and making it so he couldn't get the ball of moss.

Owlpaw leapt in the air and caught the mossball. A larger smile spread across his face. He liked playing with Hawkkit. He passed the mossball back to her, throwing it right over Badgerkit's head.

Berrykit intercepted the throw and ran to the other side of camp. He wondered why Ravenkit wasn't playing. It was a fun game. He looked behind him to see if the others were chsing him.
