Pinekit hustled out of the nursery, opening his sleepy eyes wide, clouded with sleep. He looked drowsily up at the sun, and excitement poured into Pinekit. The kit felt like he could run around the entire camp 7 times without taking a breath.
The almost-apprentice ran around the camp, seeing who was up in the camp. He ran to the warrior, apprentice, and elder den - everyone that wasn't on duty was still sleeping! even the kits!
Pinekit sat down quietly and gave a huff of frustration. There goes that. He slowly walked over to the nursery and heard the gentle sounds of kits and queens snoring in a soundly sleep, so he decided to wait on a small rock until one of his friends came out.

Owlkit padded out of the nursery with a yawn. He had just woken up. He wandered over to the fresh-kill pile and took a small mouse off it. He saw Pinekit and offered half the mouse to him. It was nice to have more kits in the camp apart from him, whether he could talk to them or not.

"Hi," Pinekit mewed quietly, yawning. It seemed his boundless energy had worn off while he was waiting... oh, well. He took the fresh-kill quietly and sat down next to Owlkit.

Hawkkit snuck out of the nursery, yawning slightly. She wanted to get a head start before her littermates. She noticed two other kits eating and she rushed over to the fresh kill pile and grabbed a mouse. She dragged it over the them and set it down. "Hello!" she said, obviously excited.

Owlkit smiled and twitched his tail, his way of saying hello.

Ivyfur walked from the warriors den, and decided to join the kits. "Did your mothers say you could be out here alone?" The tabby purred sweetly. She felt bad for Owlkit, but she knew he would make an amazing warrior.

Hawkkit noticed the way Owlkit kept using different signals other than talking. She had noticed for a little while so she took it as he couldn't speak, or didn't want to. She didn't mind, he was still her clan mate, so why should she care if he is different. Her father was the same way with his twisted foot. She noticed Ivyfur come up. "Well, I didn't want to wake them, so I thought I should come out on my own."

Owlkit nodded at Ivyfur.

Berrykit wandered out of the nursery and spotted the group of kits and a warrior. He saw they were eating so he went over to the fresh kill pile to look for something to eat. As he sifted through yesterday's prey he saw rabbit. It was slightly large so she couldn't finish it by himself. He dragged it over to the group. "Hi! Can I join?" he settled down and offered some to everyone.

Hawkkit noticed her younger sibling licked her lips at the rabbit she brought with her. She had already finished her mouse. So she decided to sit right next to him and share it.

Owlkit smiled and nodded. He definitely appreciated how accepting his clanmates were of his... not talking.

Berrykit finished his share of the rabbit and looked around. It was so peaceful. He sighed.

Hawkkit quickly ate the rest of the rabbit and looked around. It was so quiet. She didn't like it. She looked to Berrykit and smirked slightly. Hawkkit ran into Berrykit and started batting at him, trying to get him to play.
