Mistpaw's Border Patrol

A nice gentle breeze flew through the moorland, the warm sun radiating its rays, shining on the soft grass of WindClan territory. A blue and white she-cat walked out of the heather dens of comfort before entering another soft den. Prodding a long light grey she-cat awake, the she-cat left, her long tail weaving around itself. Lavenderheart looked up to the sun, letting out a soft sigh as she wanted for Mistpaw to start her training.

Waking up from the prod the new apprentice got up groggily, stepping over tails and sleeping bodies she walked out into the camp the gentle breeze disturbing her fur.

Looking to the sleepy apprentice, Lavenderheart mewed, "Good morning Mistpaw, we're going on border patrol today. We'll start by heading towards ShadowClan." Beckoning Mistpaw with her tail, the she- cat started heading out of the camp, the feel of the soft grass on her paws relaxed her. The blue and white warrior felt comforted by the wind, tunes from the birds in the forest calming. Letting out a long sigh, Lavenderheart hoped she didn't mess up with this apprentice like she did with the last Gathering.

"Oh, ok!" she let out a large yawn and followed after her new mentor, her long fur and herself basically being drowned in the tall grass.

Heading towards the ShadowClan and WindClan border, Lavenderheart sighed. The last Gathering had disturbed her, why she had decided to speak out. She didn't understand what was on her mind, but obviously she didn't want to start a war, yet... What if she did start a war? Shaking the thought from her head, she renewed a scent marker, yet she scented a ShadowClan cat around. "Hmm...? ShadowClan's around."

"Huh, what Shadowclan is around?" she meowed shooting up and awake as she looked into the marshy territory.

Eaglepaw twitched his tail, looking up at the chatter of the WindClan cats. He'd lost his frog due to their voices and he ducked through a swathe of ferns, ears flicking in annoyance. "What do you want?" he growled, tail lashing.

"O-Oh We were just pa-patrolling, we didn't want anything!" she responded as quickly as she could ducking behind her mentor to deal with the Shadowclan cat.

Shaking her head to Eaglepaw, Lavenderheart replied simply, "Border patrol - why do you ask? I didn't expect an apprentice to be here alone." Waving her tail, the she-cat beckoned to her apprentice. "Could you re-scent the other marker over there, Mistpaw?" Her tail pointed to another area, as she noticed the she-cat nervously go behind her, the blue WindClan warrior's eyes still locked on the other apprentice. She was going to make sure that this one didn't cross the border, or steal prey. After that incident, she was going to prove her full devotion to WindClan.

She let out a silent nod and peered behind her mentors leg and tried to forcefully make herself look tall but unfortunately failed miserably as she padded on to refresh the marker quickly.

His lip curled back in a snarl and his tail lashed furiously. "Just stay on your side of the border." he hissed, watching the other apprentice nervously go to remark the border.

"We are going to Shadowclan cat!" she squeaked trying to yowl at the apprentice but failed, quickly bounding up behind her mentor trying not to think of what the apprentice might say or thing of her pushed in face.

"We'll stay on our side as long as you stay on your's. Besides, you're a lower rank to me, what do you have to say, ordering me around?" Lavenderheart mewed, her eyes narrowing, her gaze steady on Eaglepaw. Beckoning with her tail, the blue she-cat started walking towards the WindClan portion of SkyClan's territory, leaving Eaglepaw at the edge of the border alone.

Eaglepaw gave another hiss. "I'm in my territory, of course I have authority over you." he snapped as he watched them walk off.

"No you don't! she hissed lightly as she made a quick stop to hiss at him and bounding off towards her mentor.
