This lonley kit wants a friend

Deerkit woke up in his nest, which was now getting a little small for him. As he looked about the den, the kit realized it was late in the afternoon. Now he was full of energy but no one to play with. Maybe Twistedfoot would, but he was probably doing his warrior duties.
Right then the brown tom was a little disappointed with himself for not making any kit friends. Getting up on is wobbly legs, h approached the den entrance and waited for another kit to pass by.

Mistkit watched from behind of the larger kit, having being older than her she didn't like it much personally. Watching as the brown kit walked to the entrance, remaining her quiet self she took in a breath of air, summoning courage to walk by the kit, it was so hard for her to even be seen by another and it would be her first to be in the clan's camp, padding forward the she-cat watched at the corner of her eye at the looming shape of the tom.

The too-tall kit saw another kit pass by; and turned with a half-crazy grin on his muzzle. Wiping it off to leave a friendly smile, he mewed,"Afternoon! Who're you? I'm Deerkit." Sensing a bit of insecurity about his height, he relaxed his joints to make himself seem just a bit shorter.

Hearing the tom speak to her she lashed around a surprised expression clearly written on her small muzzle "U-Uh M-Mistkit" she stuttered ' some cat actually talked to me other than Shadeheart?" she thought amazed.

"Well then hi, Mistkit! You want to play something with me? I'd play with Twistedfoot, but I bet he's on patrol.", Deerkit purred. He swished his tail with excitemet. "You can choose the game if you want."

"Well, I-I don't know any, g-games, because... I never really sp-spoken to any cat, b-besides Shadeheart" she stuttered at the toms generosity towards her, "Besides, w-why would you even want to play with a k-kit like me?" she asked solemnly avoiding eye contact with the other kit.

Ooc- Oh how I missed being a kit c;

Ic- He blinked his orange-flecked eyes. "Well, I haven't talked to anycat besides Twistedfoot. But he tells cool stories.. Did you know that?", the older kit paused at her last sentence. "Why do you think I wouldn't want to play with you? I'm not hare-brained."

"N-No..." she looked up at his orange eyes with astonishment, tears welled up a bit in her eyes 'such compassion!' she thought, not responding otherwise through words.

Deerkit smiled again. "Yeah..", he spaced out for a heartbeat then added, Do you want to hear the story that he told me? It's about his father; Stormstars' point of view of the battle between the Clans and a band of rouges that called themselves the Deomolities." Did a remember it all?

Ravenkit came behind Mistkit, and tapped her tail on the newer kit. "Well I'd be willing to join a game if you wanted me to. Oh and my name is Ravenkit. Just so you know." She smiled warmly at both the other kits.

Lashing around as she was about to respond to Deerkit, another kit appeared "Eh!" she squeaked falling to the ground and fluffing up in surprise, "I'd like to hear it, Deerkit.." she said quietly.

The brown kit also jumped a bit at Ravenkit's sudden approach. While nudging Mistkit to her paws with his paw, he mewed to the black kit,"Well, I was going to tell Mistkit a story Twistedfoot told me. Do you want to hear it too?" He got comfortable in his spot beacause either way, someone was going to hear the rather exciting story.

Ravenkit sat down and stuck her nose in the air. "Sure." She huffed.

Mistkit gave a thankful nod to Deerkit and walked to a spot not too close and not very far from the two kits, still not very fond of the two.

At his cue, Deerkit shook his shoulder fur and coughed theatrically. Then, he began the tale, " Many moons ago, long before either of us were born, there was a battle between all the clans and a band of rouges that called themselves the Deomolities. Now these cats were ruthless, heartless, and basically hideous excuses for cats. They planned to take over the forest in one way- defeat all the clans! The first clans they drove out were Skyclan, then Shadowclan.", He paused to take a breath; then continued. "One day, before being driven out, Shadowclan found a rouge that had been nearly killed by the Deomolities. He explained that they were planning to kill the clans, and that they would be moving through Fourtrees during the full moon."
"When every clan was waiting for the rouges to arrive, Shadowclan's rouge waited as bait below the Great Rock. As the Deomolities charged at him, the rouge sent a signal for the clans to ambush them. Then Stormstar and the other four leaders charged into battle with the clans following.", the kit stopped to catch his breath, and to see their reactions to the first part.
