The plain grey she-cat huddled closely into the nest, she dared not speak to any other cat, mostly too shy to even look at them, always keeping her flattened face pointed to the ground so they wouldn't see. She always seemed to feel the glares of the older cats in the nursery, the only one with a flattened face, but she always held her fluffy tail high, even if it is swaying violently. The small Persian wished to speak with another cat, even if it was a simple greeting.

Shadeheart padded into the nursery. Seeing Mistkit looking rather sad, she went and tried to cheer her up. "Hello Mistkit!" she mewed.

The young she-cat looked up at the burnt she-cat 'I bet she can understand how I feel' she thought, the evidence showing on her frowning face. "Hello, uh, Shadeheart" she meowed lowly.

"You OK? You look rather upset," Shadeheart meowed.

"It's just, no one in this nursery even looks at me! I feel as if the whole clan would turn on me just for my own appearance!" she hissed at the somewhat sensitive subject. The kit let out a sigh and looked at her paws "Hey, Shadeheart? can you see your own muzzle?" she asked quietly.

Shadeheart sighed, then meowed, "Yes I can see my own muzzle, but that doesn't make you any different from other cats. Unlike me, I got really badly burned in a fire and I doubt it will heal. If Twistedfoot hadn't noticed I was gone, the whole clan would have abandoned me. Sometimes I feel as if no one cares about me, like I am alone in the world. In fact, most cats in this clan would be fine with letting me die or leave the clan. I know you may feel as if the whole clan is staring at you, I know how it feels. If you ever feel that way, you can come talk to me and we can be together, not alone."

"T-Thank you Shadeheart, I guess we both understand on how each of us feel" she smiled slightly trying to paw her flatter face trying so desperately to see it.

IC: "Yes. It is nice to meet someone else who understands. And if you think every single cat is staring at you, remember that they stare at me too," Shadeheart purred. It was nice having Mistkit around, someone who she could relate to.
