Mallowroot got out of his soft den with a yawn. He sat there for a second, taking in all the sunshine of the morning sun and he got up, stretching his legs. The young medicine cat walked over to his apprentice's den, poking the small apprentice. "Get up, Hailpaw," he whispered. "We've got more training today!"

IC: Mallowroot looked at Hailpaw with a grin. "Hey, you wanted to be a medicine cat!" he laughed. "You have to be ready for the responsibility."
He walked over to the medicine cat den and flicked his tail for his apprentice to follow.

He padded after his mentor. "I do! I really do. I just didn't sleep well last night... I prefer not to talk about it." He mumbled. "But I am ready." He smiled, his eyes lighting up.

ooc: Like in the books, you won't exactly be a full medicine cat until Mallow retires/dies. But, yes, he'll bring you to the moonstone and give you a full meddie name :D

Ic: Mallowroot flicked his tail in impatience, showing he's been getting a bit cranky since the whole attack and ShadowClan having to move. Plus, his mom had died, and that didn't seem to help at all...

Mallowroot came over to a pile of little black seeds and picked one up on the hook of his claw and put it next to Hailpaw. "What is this herb, and what are the uses?" he asked, testing his apprentice.

Hailpaw cocked his head to the left, thinking. "Oh is that a poppyseed? And they help dull out the pain and they make cats sleepy?" He asked.

Mallowroot nodded, setting the poppy seed back in the pile and pulling a small root from another and setting it down. "And this one?"
