Wonderful Sun

Possumtail looked back at her former apprentice then went back to hunting, happy to see her bigger then herself. Then again all cats were bigger than her. She scented another mouse. When she felt she was close enough she pounced, catching it quickly. "Hello Mosspelt. Nice to see you out and about but it does feel weird not to be calling you to train!" She meowed as she carried back to the growing pile.

Mosspelt greeted the two cats before starting to stalk her prey. She scented a mouse and crept towards it. When she was close enough she pounced. She landed slightly off her target and the mouse slipped through her paws.

Determined to catch something she scented the air again. Spotting a mouse munching on a nut she dropped into a hunters crouch. Creeping carefully she moved towards the mouse. When she was close enough she pounced. She missed again and returned to the two cats.

Mosspelt stalked off into the forest, smelling a rabbit he dropped down into a crouch, and stalked forward. His claws tore the ground as it came into view. He growled and leapt, but the rabbit had seen him and bolted. Mosspelt ran after it, clawing at its legs until it was out of sight. His clawed the ground in anger, leaving deep cut marks in the dirt. He growled and turned around and ran back then sat down with the other warriors.

Mosspelt decided to try again because she wanted to catch something. She looked around and spotted a squirrel on a tree. She crouched down and waited for it to scamper down. When it she started crawling forward slowly. When she was close enough she sprang up from her hiding spot. The squirrel tried to dash away but it was to late. Mosspelt swiftly delivered a killing bite and carried her catch over to the pile.

IC: Mosspelt turned back to the forest and stalked back into its darkness. He found a small clearing with a mouse hunched in the middle of it, eating a seed. Mosspelt, determined to catch this one, crouched down into the best hunting crouch he could and began stalking. His movement were swift, but careful as he neared the creature. As he got close enough he lowered his tail lightly and took a mighty leap. His claws pinned the mouse's tail to the ground as it tried to escape. He quickly gave it a killing bite to the neck, ending its life. He lifted it up between his teeth and trotted back to the other cats. He dropped it in the pile and popped his neck before looking around for the next place to hunt.

Possumtail sat for a moment as the pile grew. When she turned around she smelled a vole. Instinctively she dropped into her hunting crouch as she stalked it. Soon she jumped but missed by a whole tail length.
