Getting used to being a Leader

Raccoonstar sat in front of her new den, with new bedding, and it all was just new. The camp was the same as before, but everything just seemed so new, so unusual to the she-cat. The leader looked down at her feet where a half eaten rabbit laid, not really hungry anymore she poked at it with her paw getting lost in her thoughts of what she should do..

"You gonna finish that?" An slightly-amused purr sounded in front of Raccoonstar as Falconfang moved over to stand next to his new leader. That slight tension was still in the air, from the battle, and from the retiring of Stormstar. Now, however, wasn't a time to get lost in regret or the past: there was a clan to run, and even though Falconfang was still getting over the shock of his new role, he knew that his help was needed more than ever to keep Windclan going strong.

The she-cat had just come back from a patrol, nothing seemed wrong, no outside scents, everything was fine. Seeing that Raccoonstar and Falconfang were sharing tongues, Minteyes bounded after of the way and then trotted the rest. "Hello Raccoonstar, Falconfang." She licked her mate's cheek and sat down.

Raccoonstar looked at the tom for a second then pushed her rabbit over to him. "No I am not.." Her gaze turned to Minteyes as she approached. "Hello Minteyes, How was the patrol?" She asked her warrior wanting to know of any activity on the border.

Thanking Raccoonstar, Falconfang hungrily devoured the remains of the rabbit that were left as he turned an ear to the conversation at hand. It would be good to hear about any happenings along the borders; perhaps he should get out there too. He was the deputy now, after all: he should be creating the patrols.

Not being incrediably hungry Minteyes turned her attention fully to Raccoonstar. "Everything seemed to be normal, no outside scents, nothing unusual." The she-cat felt proud of her patrol report.

Raccoonstar frowned, her old paranoia returning. "I pretty sure they will try something soon..." She shifted around for a moment before settling again. "We need to keep an eye out. We never know when they will make a move." She sighed before returning her eyes to the ground.
