Can You Hear Me Now, Father?

“Where’d you go? Where’s your home?”
It was dark, silent, and absolutely still in the small room. The darkness was thick and heavy. Walking through it would feel like you were blindly walking through tar. You would be lying if you walked in and said that you could see something. As, what is required to see, is light, which is what the room lacked until a human flicked on the switch to the singly, dingy light bulb. What was best about the room… for HIM anyway was the fact you could feel the evil of the space. When you walked in you could feel the uneasiness at the pit of your stomach, tying it into knots and squeezing mercilessly.
“How’d you end up all alone?”
That’s why HE loved this room. He would take his young victims, mostly girls, into the room. HE would close the door, blocking out any sound and any possible light. HE would stand there with the girl, his arm loosely around her neck so HE could stay in control, and laugh. It would start out as a soft chuckle, until it grew into a full blown maniactic fit. Then, HE would turn to the wall, and flip on the light revealing a table somewhat like a chiropractor’s with straps for the arms, head, legs, and torso. The victim would gasp, and start struggling. HE easily hooked them up.
“Can you hear me now?”
On tonight HE had a tall, skinny blonde haired beauty. She had soft, lightly tanned skin with very elegant legs. And boy… was she a screamer. HE would enjoy this. He went through his routine. Tying them up in a dark closet. Untying them slowly. Walking them down the stairs into the basement. Navigating the maze he created. Opening the door, and walking in. Like all of them, she struggled to not go in. She cried and kicked, but it was no use. She was going to enter. Finally, HE overpowered her, and shut the door. Like them all, it seemed to suffocate the blonde, silencing her screams as she looked around frantically. He started with his low chuckle, a vibration was more like it, and until he was laughing so hard his body shook. Still laughing, HE flicked the light on, revealing the table. She screamed again, kicking her legs back. It was no use. HE dragged her to the table, and using HIS arm to pin her down, strapped the straps first to her legs, then her arms, then her head. She still howled with fear, but HIS laughter had died down to a wicked grin. Slowly, HE turned his back on the girl, walking a few steps to a small bedside table. Nothing would be on it.
“There’s no light, there’s no sound.”
HE slid a small drawer open, and gripped his object. The girl had quieted down to whimpers, but as soon as HE turned around with a large butcher knife, the screaming resumed.
“Hard to breathe when you’re underground.”
You would think HIS hearing would be gone by now, with all the screams HE had heard in this very room, with HIM being the reason they were emitted. But he could hear. Oh, he could hear perfectly.
“Can you hear me now?”
HE turned, and walking back towards the girl, the knife hanging loosely at HIS side. HE stood in front of the girl briefly as the girl’s screams became raspier and raspier. Holding up the blade, HE uttered the last verse in HIS song to HIS father as HE forced the metal object into the poor girl’s heart.
“HEAR ME NOW!”
The girl quieted. HE slowly slid the knife out, walked back to the table, placed the knife back in the drawer, closed it, and walked out. HIS father surely hears him now.
