Silverkit's Apprentice Ceremony

Sagestar flicked his ear and stepped outside to make an announcement, leaping high. It was good that their clan was growing. In critical times like these, the clan needed as many warriors as possible. "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey join here under the Jaggedrock for a clan meeting!"

Silverkit ran out of the nursery, her eyes shining. I'm finally becoming an apprentice! She thought. Fighting to keep from bouncing, she made her way to the clearing.

Sage then picked up Silver and chucked her at the nearest - /shotdownplz.

The gray tom blinked and nodded as he saw the young she-cat step out. "Please, come forward." The leader meowed to the silver tabby, waiting for her to do so. "It's a pleasure to see a new cat start training when the clan is in such circumstances. It gives me hope that we will pull through.
"Silverkit, you have reached the age of six moons and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day forth, until you have earned your warrior name, you will be known as Silverpaw."

His gaze flickered around the clearing, spotting a familiar warrior. "Gingerheart, you were taught well by Feathersong and have proven yourself as a valuable warrior. I believe you're ready for an apprentice. I hope you pass on all that you know to Silverpaw."

Gingerheart had definitely been sitting there during the entire ceremony. She hadn't really expected for it to happen tonight, but as soon as she had heard about it she was excited not only for the apprentice but for the entire clan. It was only when Sagestar told her that the newly named Silverpaw was going to be her apprentice did her face suddenly light up with her own feeling of excitement. Sagestar trusted her in training an apprentice. She must be doing something right! Keeping herself composed with a look of seriousness about her, she nodded to her leader and walked up to her new apprentice, touching noses with her to make it official.

Rustfang was totally there the whole time as well. He listened calmly with a blank face, partially listening. When Sagestar announced Silverkit Silverpaw, and made Gingerheart deputy, a cold river of thoughts came over him.
