the story

Welcome to the Lands of Fourstone. Five hundred years ago the four provinces were paradises, unique and beautiful in their own way, balanced between light and dark. Ever since the selfish Witch-Queen Voada came to power, the peace has been disturbed. Her impossible source of nigh-unlimited power has been covered up by her followers, and nearly every stretch of Fourstone has been corrupted by her evil. [more will be added later]

We begin the story as orphans that are graduating from the Croft Orphanage. The moment they are to leave, guards of the Witch-Queen seize Silvershrine, a city so-far untouched by her influence. Once they escape, their journey begins. ~ Cue epic-song.

Frost -

The northern land, home of the Gray people. The landscape is generally tundra; to the south is a pine forest, to the north the mountains, and the rest of the province consists of snowy plains and rolling hills. totally not Skyrim The heart of the rebellion against the Witch-Queen is in Frost.

Cities -

Silvershrine: A northwestern, snow-covered city. Extremely religious and has a reputation for charity. Buildings made of cold, dark gray stone. Populated of mostly Grays.
Winterwood: Capitol city in the center of Frost: It is a trading hub. Buildings are made of, well, wood. Populated of many different races from all over.
Whitepeak: A northeastern city populated of stone towers and bridges. The College of Wizardry, one of the colleges of magic, is located here.
Darkpine: A southern city populated mainly of grays.
Childer: A western city that belongs to the Snow Elves.

There are several villages scattered throughout the landscape, but they aren't important enough to make it to the map/to be considered right now so lol.

Mistrial -

The eastern land, home of the Fair, the Tribals, and the Tree Elves. The eastern part of Mistrial is dominated by the Great Forest, which consists of Tree Elven villages and Fair cities. The western half is the plains, dominated by the barbarian Tribal people. The Witch-Queen Voada's fortresses are here. The Tribals are all enslaved to her.

Cities -

Leville: Fair city to the southeast of the country. It is in a cleared section of the forest. The capitol of Mistrial.
Jadeworth: The Tree Elven capitol in the center of the forest. All of the buildings are tree houses connected by bridges.
Darkwood: Near the northern part of the forest. Many Grays live here, as well as Fair and Tree Elves. The College of Theurgy resides here.
The Vale: The only Tribal city. It is made up of savage tents, rustic wooden fortresses, and a stone tower dedicated to Voada. She resides here. The Collge of Witchcraft is here as well.

There are several villages among the plains, as well as some settlements in the forest.

The Redlands -

The western land. It is all desert and badlands. The Redlanders reside here, on the edges of the desert and by the seaports. It is dangerous and harsh.

Cities -

Summerport:near the ocean to the east of the country. Consists mainly of Redlanders and some Sea Elves/Wavefolk that have traveled.
Sandreach: near the border to Frost. It is more temperate than the rest of the land. Capitol of Redlands. The College of Sorcery is here.
Drymist: deeper into the desert than the other cities. The smallest city in the world. No race but Redlander lives here.
Broma: The westernmost city. It is at the other side of the country, bordering the ocean.

Settlements are few and far between, but there are some near the cities.

The Isles of Cerule -

Southernmost province consisting of Sea Elves and the Wavefolk. There are seven islands; the mainland, a Sea Elven stronghold, two smaller islands belonging to the Wavefolk, one small island that holds the College of Necromancy and its mages, and three uninhabited islands.

Cities -

Crystalla - a northern city on the mainland. The city is made out of gold and marble, and rests beautifully on the white beaches. Most of its residents are Sea Elves.
Whiteport - a picturesque city filled with many different races. It is a major trading hub, and the capitol of Cerule.
Lakeview - it sits in the center of the island, overlooking a pure freshwater lake.
Pyre - a city/settlement on the larger of the two Wavefolk islands.

There are several settlements on the Wavefolk islands.

Religion -

The Four
Most humans worship the Four, as well as some elves -

Tristan: The chief god of the pantheon. He is the father of humankind and patron of warriors. He demands strength, mercy to the weak, and redemption.
Alma: The mother goddess and wife of Tristan. She created Fourstones, and is especially favored by priests and healers. She is the patron goddess of motherhood, nature, marriage, love, and animals. She demands compassion, modesty, and charity.
Dokoran: The god of study and patron of scholars and mages. His realm consists of studying, artwork, commerce, language, and scholarly pursuits. He demands wisdom, a sharp wit, and a willingness to learn.
Nerissa: The goddess of balance. Nerissa represents light and dark, the sun and the moon, and is completely neutral. She is the least favored of the four, but many do worship her; most find her demands of simpleness, meditation, inconspicuousness, and judgment hard to fulfill.

The Sisters

Most elves worship these three sister-goddesses -

Dralora: Patron of the snow elves, Dralora is the goddess of magic. Sorcerers, witches, mages, healers, and many other kinds of magic-users worship or revere her. Some accounts claim that she is one and the same with Nerissa of the Four.
Lucasta: Patron of the sea elves. She is the goddess of beauty and peace. People of all races and beliefs keep a statue or symbol of Lucasta in their homes to promote peacefulness.
Xanthe: Patron of the tree elves. She is the goddess of subterfuge and guile, and is the patron of thieves, assassins, and archers. She grants luck to those who worship her.

Tribal beliefs

The Tribals worship nameless spirits mainly, but they revere forms of the Four as well. Many pray to Xanthe and Dralora under the names Anet and Krea.

Magic

Magic is the use of strange and powerful arts. Magic-users aren't common. It is a difficult and tedious path, and those who follow must choose one of the following schools of magic:

Sorcery: Those who practice this art can use powerful destructive spells, including: Fire, ice, lightning. Practitioners are called sorcerers and sorceresses respectively.
Wizardry: The art of charming others. Illusion-oriented spells can alter minds and change the perception of others. Practitioners are called wizards and enchantresses respectively.
Necromancy: The dark art of summoning the dead. Necromancers are powerful and feared, as they can commune, summon, and control the dead. Necromancers can also drain the health of others through concentration. Some can even make others fall ill. Practitioners are called necromancers, regardless of gender.
Theurgy: Those who can heal are cherished in nearly every corner of Fourstones. They can use healing magic to clear wounds and replenish those of their health, as well as ward of the undead. They can make restorative potions. Priests and healers fall under this category. The former chooses a god to worship and will often times stay in one temple their entire life, teaching others and providing healing services. Healers are considerably less powerful than priests and priestesses, and they often serve under them.
Witchcraft: A primal art which can only be practiced by females. Those who consider themselves witches can summon spirits to fight for them or monsters, straight from the Shadowlands- the source of a witch's power. They can also control the wind and make potions and poisons via alchemy. Witches often operate in covens.

Factions

The Kingdoms -
- The vast majority of Frost is ruled by High King Alvor the White and his Queen Skjotra. The monarchy of Frost is stationed in Winterwood.
- The northern mountains of Frost are ruled by the Council of Snow, a group of elderly Snow Elves.
- The Redlands are ruled by Emperor Fenyang. Sandreach holds the capitol of the Redland Empire.
- Southern Mistrial is ruled by King Fenris and Queen Tiana. Leville holds the monarchs.
- Northeastern Mistrial is ruled by Queen Nivenor. The Tree Elves have a peaceful queendom.
- Western Mistrial is ruled by the Witch-Queen Voada. The Tribals have a matriarchy of witches, who they put their trust in to rule the plains. Voada was next in line, and has since extended her reach, conquering Mistrial and now much of Frost.
- The Isles of Cerule are ruled by King and Queen Angoril and Nenya.
- The two Wavefolk islands are ruled by two chieftains, but they do not extend their power over Angoril or Nenya.

The Empire of the Witch-Queen -
Voada has, in 50 years, taken over all of Mistrial and its armies of Fair and Tree-Elves, enslaving its people -- including former monarchs Fenris, Tiana, and Nivenor. She has also recently conquered Frost, and executed all of its rulers; the king and queen as well as the Council of Snow. She is attempting to extend her influence to the Redlands.
Her army consists of permanently-bound creatures of the Shadowlands, as well as the entirety of the Tribal people. Tree Elves, Fair, Grays, and Snow Elves (as well as various citizens of Frost and Mistrial that aren't native)have defected into her army and have also been forced into it.

The Rebellion -
The Rebellion started in Frost, but has since been moved to the Redlands. Sympathizers from Cerule and still within Frost exist. It is scattered and disorganized, but the Redland Empire and the Kingdom of Cerule have waged war on Voada in its name. However, the Redlanders and the Ceruleans have not officially joined an alliance and attack separately.

The Fighter's Guild -
an internationally recognized guild that is dedicated to warriors and valor in battle. "Combat" classes make up its members. They love Tristan.
The Guardian of the Fighter's Guild is the Redlander paladin Paki the Brave.
Guild headquarters - Broma, Redlands
Guild bases - Darkwood, Mistrial; Darkpine, Frost; Whiteport, Cerule

Guild of Shadows -
a brotherhood of thieves and archers that operate secretly. They are considered enemies of Fourstone by the leaders of each province, but they're masters of crime and subterfuge. They are followers of Xanthe.
The Guildmaster of the Guild is the Tree Elven thief Enthir.
Guild headquarters - Leville, Mistrial
Guild bases - Village of Nyell, Redlands; Lakeview, Cerule; Village of Nerice, Frost

Colleges of Magic -
a collection of colleges dedicated to every one of the schools of magic. They aren't necessary to become good at the craft, but nearly every prestigious mage attends a college of their choice.
The Archmagister of all the colleges resides in the College of Sorcery; he is the Snow Elven wizard Quaranir.
Colleges - Necromancy is located on one of the uninhabited Cerulean Islands, headmaster is the Tribal Urracen; Witchcraft is located in the Vale, Mistrial, headmistress is the Tribal Moira; Sorcery is located in Sandreach, Badlands, headmaster is the Redlander Msrah; Theurgy is located in Darkwood, Mistrial and the headmistress is the Sea Elf Faralda; and Wizardry is located in Whitepeak, Frost and the headmaster is the Snow Elf Calcelmo.

Hand of the Black Flame -
a group of assassins that will kill for a price. In order to contact them, you will have to find out who the Black Blade of a city is; rumor has it their is a Blade in each major city in the world. In order to find out, the black market group the Guild of Shadows may have information if you know who to ask.
The Bearer of the Black Flame is the Wavefolk Olina.
Guild headquarters - Drymist, Redlands
There is an assassin in each major city that will perform assassinations in their region. Black Blades normally pose as a citizen or family in the city -- ie. Two Black Blades in Broma are posing as a married couple.

The Seafarer's Guild -
a guild that dedicates itself to voyaging the high seas, and hunting pirates, sea serpents, and merpeople.
The Guildmaster is the Wavefolk Hekili.
Guild headquarters - Pyre, Cerule
Guild bases - Village of Iceport, Frost; Summerport, Redlands; Leville, Mistrial

Church of the Four -
a religious institution that is prominent among humans and elves in human cities; they believe in the Four. Officials include paladins, healers, and priests.
High Priest and Priestess of the Church are the Fair Karic and Sapphira.
Guild headquarters - Temple of the Four in Leville, Mistrial
There are various temples in nearly every city in the world dedicated to a single god of the Four.

Cult of the Sylvan -
a less organized religious institution more popular among the elves and some Tribals. They worship the three Sisters of legend.
There are temples to a single goddess in each elven city; Jadeworth, Whitepeak, Childer, Crystalla, and Lakeview.

The Seven Covens -
There are 7 covens in Fourstone that are recognized by the College of Witchcraft; witches have formed small covens other than these, but they are usually short-lived and mediocre. The covens are scattered across Fourstone. 3 are in the Tribal plains, 1 is in the Great Forest, 1 is in the pine forest of Frost, 1 on the smaller Wavefolk island, and 1 in the Great Desert.
The First Coven: The Moraine, the oldest of all covens. They wear simple brown dresses and ornaments from the plains, such as feathers and amulets. They live in a collection of caves deep in the plains.
The Second Coven: The Matriarchy; this coven decides the Queen of the Plains. Voada is of this coven, and became the Witch-Queen of the Vale when she became coven mother. The witches wear the furs and garbs of the Tribal people. They live in Tribal huts in the Vale.
The Third Coven: The Nerite; third coven, and the smallest of the plains. They associate often with the Tree Elven society. They wear long, colorless robes and boast simplicity. They are devoted to Nerissa. They live on the outskirts of the Great Forest, in a row of tents and the like.
The Fourth Coven: The Wygrae: These witches live in Frost. They are the tormentors of the Pine Forest, and hated by the people of Frost; they can manipulate the trees and make the place a nightmare. They live in cabins in the woods.
The Fifth Coven: The Roth: one of the least powerful covens, the Roth are dedicated to alchemical pursuits. These witches boast the best potions in all of Fourstone. They trade with the Fair, and dress in their clothes. They live in a few cottages in the Forest, in a clearing by a lake. Their great alchemical gardens are guarded by more than just Shadowland creatures.
The Sixth Coven: The Rune: these witches of the Redlands combine magic and agility. They are unique in that they fight with axes and spears, as well as their conjuration. They are praised by the people of the desert as huntresses of the basilisks, and wear its skin in their dress. They live near the great river of the Redlands.
The Seventh Coven: The Desirae: they are the only coven in Cerule. They wear the furs and garments of the Wavefolk people, and live in a huge natural cavern on the other side of the smaller Wavefolk island.

Human Races -

The Fair: Humans that make their home in the eastern areas of Mistrial. They aren't particularly good or particularly bad at anything, but many of these people become merchants, scholars, and priests.
The Gray: The strong-backed, pale people of Frost. They are a hardy, warrior-loving race that views magic as weak.
The Tribals: Savage people of the western plains of Mistrial. They are split evenly; gifted with magic and stealth.
The Redlanders: Dark-skinned people of the Redlands. They are great warriors.
The Wavefolk: Sneaky island-dwelling people of Cerule. They are treated much like Tree Elves on the mainland.

Elven Races -

The Sea Elves: Tan, tall, green-eyed elves of the Isles. Their people are gifted, elegant warriors.
The Tree Elves: Dark-eyed elves of Mistrial. They are extremely gifted at stealthy pursuits; outside of their forests, they are closely watched by cityfolk because of a prejudice that they are thieves.
The Snow Elves: White-skinned, gray-haired, beautiful elves of northern Frost. They make the best mages in all of the land.

Combat Classes

The Warrior -
most iconic of all combat classes, the heavy armor clad warrior is capable of using a variety of weapons: Shields, swords, maces, axes, warhammers, battleaxes, and greatswords. Races with a knack for this class are the Grays, Sea Elves and the Redlanders.

The Paladin -
also known as the crusader and the cleric, paladins are warrior-priests that fight in the name of their gods. They use shields and maces primarily, and hate to draw blood. They bludgeon rather than cut. Races: the Fair, the Gray, Sea Elves and the Redlanders.


The Barbarian -
a lightly armored (leather or fur) warrior that grew up in a place such as the Isles or the plains of Mistrial. They use battleaxes, greatswords, and warhammers primarily, as they prefer two-handed weapons. Races include: Tribals, the Gray and Wavefolk.

The Rogue -
includes pirates, bandits, and lightly armored warriors that don't play by the rules. They use swords and daggers primarily, and as opposed to the stealthy Thief, prefer their sharp tongues and prowess in battle. Races: Sea Elves, Wavefolk, Fair, Tree Elves.

Magic Classes

The Sorcerer -
a magic user who can battle with blasts of fire, spokes of ice, and bolts of lightning. They can create a multitude of destructive effects. Races: Snow Elves, Fair, Redlanders, Tribal


The Necromancer -
a darker, more secretive user of magic. Nearly no one approves of this art. They raise and communicate with the dead, and can perform powerful sorcery. Races: Fair, Tribal, Snow Elves


The Wizard -
a magic user that can warp the minds of others. He can make you believe your enemies are your friends, or that you are in a euphoric state of calm. . . many consider wizards and enchantresses the most dangerous magic-user of all. Races: Sea Elves, Tribal, Snow Elves, Wavefolk

The Witch -
a female mage that can conjure from the spirit-realm of Shadowlands. They can call on goblin-like creatures, elemental beasts, and other legendary things, depending on their power. Witches can manipulate the wind and are associated with birds and cats. Races: Any race, as long as they are female. Most commonly they are Tribal or Fair.


The Healer -
a religious magic user that can heal wounds and illness, create potions, and repel the undead. Some are even priests or priestesses. Races: Fair, Gray, Tree Elves, Snow Elves


Stealth Classes

The Thief -
pretty self-explanatory. They pickpocket, pick locks, pick what they like and leave what they don't. Thieves make use of bows, daggers, and their wit. Races: Wavefolk, Tree Elves, Fair

The Assassin -
a dark twist on the thief; stealth-users that make use of poisons, bows, daggers, and shadow. Races: Wavefolk, Tree-Elves, Redlanders

The Archer -
a more honorably sneaky guy. They shoot with their bows. Races: Sea Elves, Fair, Wavefolk, Gray, Redlanders, Tree-Elves

Frost's Creatures

Many tundra-creatures from the real world. Fantastic creatures include:

Dragons - fire-breathing flying reptilian creatures. Pic shamelessly taken from Skyrim. A lot of these are. xD

Trolls - white, ape-like monsters that maul peeps. Also a Skyrim pic.

Werewolves - actual creatures, not man-beasts. They are vicious and dangerous, as well as nocturnal. They live in packs.

Gargoyle - winged creatures that live in the pine forests.

Giant - a rare, endangered species that live in the mountains. They are incredibly dangerous.

Mistrial's Creatures

Mistrial has many woodland and prairie animals. Other than that, the creatures include:

Fairy - they keep Mistrial in a perpetual autumn-like state with their magic. They have been dying thanks to the queen's magic, leaving the country death-like.

Centaur - warrior horsemen and women. They live in the forests.

Minotaur - bull-creatures that live in the plains. They loathe humans and serve the Witch-Queen.

Dryad - nature guardians that live in the forests. Yes, this is a Spriggan from Skyrim.

The Creatures of the Redlands

Many desert animals. magical creatures:

Basilisk - serpents that patrol the deserts. They kill things.

Phoenix - large firebirds.

Cockatrice - a pretty pathetic creature. Some villagers use this for eggs. Careful; they breathe small embers when upset.

Giant Scorpion - simply "scorps" to the natives. They are fearsome creatures that are only to be faced by the fiercest warriors.

Sea Creatures and those of the Isles of Cerule

Fish, sharks, etc. . . and. . .

Merpeople - They're actually quite vicious. They jump out of the water onto ships sometimes.

The Undead and Shadowland Creatures

These include those that Necromancers summon. The Shadowland monsters are what Witches conjure. The Shadowlands are a dark mirror of the realm of life; they are deserted wastelands of evil and perpetual night. The 13 Witch Covens can perform a ritual to send one to the Shadowlands, but at a price . . . and there is no guarantee of your return. You must fulfill what you went there for in order to leave. The creatures of the Shadowlands are ruthless and cruel. Xanthe, Nerissa, and Dralora are associated with the Shadowlands.

Shadowland Creatures

Witches can summon these monsters for as long as their willpower allows. Most witches operate in covens, and many times use more than one witch's power to summon a creature.

A Cunning - white winged cats that can be summoned by witches. They are knowledgeable and can give directions. Dokoran is their patron.

Wyvern - Reptilian, ice-breathing creatures the size of horses. They serve as mounts and are thought to be related to dragons somehow.

Harpy - mixtures of women and birds.

Goblin - a weak, hellish creature

Droth - a large, bulky reptilian creature

Orc - a green-skinned humanoid that fights with claws.

The Undead

Necromancers can reanimate anything that has died depending on their level, but they can also summon creatures of death. These creatures lurk the dark recesses of the Shadowlands and are foreign to witches.

Wraith - robed, flying, formless creatures that cover their victims in darkness.

Revenant - undead mages who sold their souls for great power while they were alive.

Succubus - winged female seducers that target men specifically. Female Necromancers find them more easy to control.

the rules


1) I am only accepting experienced RPers that don't only post one-liners. Don't be offended if you don't get in. ;_; I'm picky, and if your application is less-than-stellar, I can't accept you. I will do the best of my ability to help you fix it, though.

2) This is semi-literate. No one-liners.

3) No Mary-Sues, Gary-Stus, or Anti-Sues. I want good, believable characters.

4) I am the RP master, but I am open to suggestions. This world was created by me (and some helpful fantasy-world stereotypes) and it is a sandbox. We can create virtually anything out of it.

5) The plan for this RP is to be quite lengthy. Don't be surprised if it doesn't end for three hundred pages. (a bit extreme, I know, but it could happen o3o) If interest is lost, of course, I will close it.

6) Stemming from 5: If you don't think you'll enjoy the RP based on plot, setting, etc. don't join. I want to enjoy this, and it isn't fun if no one else does. D:

7) Follow my rules yo~

8) PG-13 rating. :P Nothing too risky, but it will be a bit mature/dark. Don't join if you aren't okay with that.

the template

Name: - make this fantasy-oriented. The elves of all kinds have "elven" names, and there are a lot you can find online. The Fair have generic fantasy human names, like Serana or Erick or something. The Gray have Norse names. The Tribal people have names like Uaile, Madanach, Dryston, Duach, Ennoc, Yvara, Nana, etc. I can help with these. The Wavefolk have Hawaiian names like Ailani and Akau. The Redlanders have Egyptian names. I suggest giving a nickname if the name is long.

Age: 14-19; you are leaving the orphanage. 19 is required graduation, but sometimes the younger ones leave too. 13 and below are not allowed to leave.

Race: self-explanatory.

Height: Depends on age. Adult heights include:
Gray - males 5'9" to 6'4", females 5'7" to 5'10"
Redlander - males 5'8" to 6'2", females 5'5" to 5'9"
Fair and Tribal - males 5'8" to 6'0", females 5'4" to 5'7"
Wavefolk - males 5'5" to 5'10", females 5'0" to 5'4"
Tree Elves - males 5'5" to 5'8", females 5'0" to 5'4"
Snow Elves - males 5'10" to 6'5", females 5'8" to 5'11"
Sea Elves - males 5'9" to 6'2", females 5'6" to 5'10"

Weight: Be reasonable.

Class: You do not start out as a fully fleshed out mage or thief or whatever. This is the class you're interested in becoming as time goes on; you will have a natural aptitude, however.

Personality: Delinquent, liar, trickster, and thief are all words that have been used to describe Koa. He instead thinks of himself as a charming, lovable, and rather handsome fighter for the people. While he fantasizes himself as a heroic outlaw fighting the Witch-Queen, he is a poor fighter and inept at most things, and is in fact very cowardly when it comes to fights. His only real skill is in being stealthy and the art of stealing. He's a smooth talker.

Appearance: Dark, tanned skin with short black hair with brown eyes. Not very muscular or tall at all.

Clothing: Light gray frock, darker gray hood, and a black half-cloak.

Weapons: He's always wanted a cutlass, as they're common weapons with sailors.

Backstory: He was born and raised in Whiteport, where he practically became a master thief and often stole from the many merchants and newcomers to the city. His parents never questioned it. However, as the influence of Voada grew, they began to move north to Frost to try and escape the corruption in the Isles. Koa's mother got sick and was unable to be saved by local Healers. His father soon succumbed to the cold as well and he was brought into the Croft Orphanage at 15. He was planning on training to become a rebel soldier.

Personality: Elden is an intelligent strategic boy, who dreams of adventure and getting a boat to sail Fourstone on. Despite his intelligence, he is sort of an alcoholic, despite his young age, due to a taste test complimentary of an orphanage worker when he was but 16. Due to this, he will kindly fly towards a nearby bar when there is one available, and make a fool of himself when intoxicated. Skilled at handling horses.

Appearance:White haired, deep blue eyed elf with light colored skin. Has a birthmark on his neck that is reddish, and he claims to be a scar. Not too strong, but strong enough due to the chores he did at the orphanage.

Clothing: Wears a blue shirt with three buttons on the top, and has black pants and brown boots. Elden has black gloves, which I am hesitant of saying are fingerless, because that sounds a tad noobish. Also has a necklace that he won off a drunk guy while gambling one night. Is silver with an emerald, though he tends to hide it under his collar.

Weapons: A knife for physical defense would be nice, but magic would be his main weapon.

Backstory: Elden was told as a child in the orphanage that his father was a guard in a village in the deep north of Frost. He had met a young snow elf there, and the two got married, conceiving him. Though, bandits attacked said village shortly after his birth. His parents were killed, and survivors had fled to the town in which the orphanage is. Not wanting an extra mouth to feed, and fearing the baby would not handle the rough conditions they were going through, they left the child at the orphanage, where he was cared for. Elden got a love of horses early in his life. He had taken care of a horse named Apricot. Apricot was elderly, though, and passed away when Elden was but 16.
He has been responsible for a lot of the horses at the orphanage, but none of them are his physical property. He is skilled at riding them, so let's call him the badarse horseback mage.
Oh, and he also got mixed up in alcohol with an old orphanage worker at 16, when Elden's favorite horse had died. Due to his sadness, he had drank alcohol with the worker, and had quickly gotten addicted. When the orphanage owner had heard of this, she fired the worker, but the damage had been done.


Sorry. Trying to write a creation at 2 am is purty difficult. ;u;

My apologies! Sea Elves should have been listed under Warrior, Paladin, Archer, Wizard, & Rogue. I'll fix that!

Jay, if he is to be a combat-class he'll probably add weight as we go on - just a note. Also, not to be picky, but how did he end up in Silvershrine? Many times orphans/babies are taken there because of the charitable community. His relative could have sailed there or some such~

Note for everyone; your character does not have to be a Gray. Many pilgrims or just travelers have stayed in Silvershrine, and the same is true of nearly every city. No one race is limited in where they may go by their homeland/race.

Sleepy, your backstory is perfectly executed.

Both of you are approved. :D Wonderful apps!

All I'll need is your dialog colors and we'll be gooood. Nothing blinding plz.

Edits; I added the Shadowlands explanation under creatures. The name "Aether" was too light; witches aren't normally good.

Also: Regarding half-breeds, because this topic will inevitably be brought up; a child of two different race parents will always be the race of the mother, Elder Scrolls style.

My character:

Name: Yvara

Age: 19

Race: Tribal

Height: 5'6"

Weight: 127 lbs

Class: Healer

Personality: She loves to help others. Honestly. Yvara aims to please in whatever ways she can, and she loves to make other people happy. She's neat and well-composed, but also kind and compassionate. She is a devout worshiper of the gods, namely Alma. Despite the fact that she is the descendant of a long line of Tribal witches, she is more drawn towards healing and priesthood.

Appearance: A petite girl with shoulder length light brown hair, a soft, round face and sparkly green eyes. She has all the traits of a Tribal; her nose is thin and straight, her fingers long and thin, and her eyes are slightly smaller than usual. A thin and wispy girl, she is not suited for the rough life of a Warrior or the litheness being a Thief requires; and besides, she isn't interested in anything of that sort.

Clothing: Yvara wears a brown skirt and a green and white blouse, belted around her waist. She has simple leather shoes and wears leather gloves when outside, along with a long, brown cloak.

Weapons: Eventually, perhaps a staff or a dagger. Her mind is her weapon.

Backstory: The illegitimate daughter of a Tribal witch and an unidentified Gray man from Winterwood. She was raised by the coven -- which consisted of two Snow Elves, two Tribals, three Gray, and two Fair -- for three years. When rumors circulated that a coven had taken refuge in the Pine Forest of Frost, nearby villagers and cityfolk got scared. What if the witches were to attack them? A bounty was put on the coven, and before they knew it, a Gray Paladin from Winterwood killed them all, except a 3-year old girl. He collected his reward from the High King of Frost, and then proceeded to raise the girl for the three years that followed. Vorstagg had to leave on a religious expedition to Mistrial, and decided it was too dangerous to take Yvara with him. Regretfully, he took her to Silvershrine and hoped the Croft Orphanage would take care of her. He never returned.

Since then, Yvara has become the resident cook's assistant at the Orphanage. She loves to cook and always prepares the best meals with what little the Orphanage can get. Her boss is the kind Hroki, a Gray woman and chef at the Orphanage. She has recently taken up alchemy and is learning from the Temple priestesses. She didn't want to leave the Orphanage, as it has come to be her home, and stayed until she was 19 -- which is where the story begins. She plans on staying and becoming a chef for the children, but unfortunately that isn't mean to be.

Appearance: skinny, female with red hair, small black shorts that are oftenly worn, quite pale skin tone within winter but slightly changes along with the suns heat. (like if you get a sunburn for being in the sun but not as vulnerable)

Clothing:Long black pants that are oftenly worn, turqoise shirt with a few tears.

Weapons: A herburt Look it up

Backstory: She was born and raised in Frost, Unliked by others in the orphanage she was commonly alone, this helped develop her attitude, but, by the time she was twelve. by this time her attitude evolved from an innocent little girl to a hot-headed, fast reacting girl, aswell as jumpy.

Personality: Quick-witted, isolated, and specific. Every little detail matters to Enro, and every little thing must be perfect. He's not quick to make friends, and prefers to wonder about his secretive past and stay isolated from others, and the world in general. If on the not-so-rare-but-uncommon chance you can get Enro to open up to you, and you become close friends, he'll be the best friend across Fourstones. He'll be loyal and protective, and quick to jump into a fight, verbal, physical, or both to defend a friend.

Appearance: Tallish with grayish blue eyes and short, shaggy, rusty colored brown hair. Pale skin, but not pasty.

Clothing: Worn leather clothing given to him from the orphanage. A pair of wooly gloves he found while outside one day, which he's kept since. No warm clothing; black wool gloves and pale, worn brown leather shirts, undergarments, and pants. Leathery, old shoes.

Weapons: Magic; specifically Necromancy

Backstory: Born in Vale, and lived there for the first two months of his life. His parents, unknown to him, fled to Frost with him. Lost in a blizzard, his parents were buried in the snow and froze and suffocated in the freezing underground isolation. An adult from the orphanage found him unconscious in the snow, only four months old. He's lived in the orphanage ever since, always wondering about his past that no one knows about.

Personality: Akila is not very talkative, and around complete strangers she will be completely silent, unless they talk to her about something very important. She can be kind,and caring when she wants to be. More often she is more violent, and tries to be fair about things.

Appearance:She is dark skinned girl. She has hair that is a dark brown, almost black, and wears it up most of the time. When it is down it goes down to her shoulder blades. Her eyes look gray but have a green tent to them. She is an average height, and she is sorta thin too.

Clothing: Akila wheres tan pants, and a white shirt. She has a black cloak to cover her head and the top half of her body.

Weapons: Perhaps a dagger, and maybe some throwing knifes?

Backstory: Akila lived in Drymist with her parents when she was younger, growing up in the dangerous condition didn't bother her one bit. In her free time she would try to figure out how to climb the buildings. One day her parents decided to move to the capitol of the Redlands. On the way there her parents, and Akila were attacked. Akila ran off after the people attacked her parents. Not knowing which way to go but forward she eventually made it to Sandreach. In Sandreach she got into trouble for stealing food, and other reasons. She was eventually caught and taken to the Croft orphanage.

Appearance: Has a small form, has brown hair, light colored skin, and green eyes.

Clothing: Black, tight pants with a plain, long-sleeve, dark green shirt. She also has: black leather boots, a leather jacket, and wears a long, black cloak. She also has a lucky charm: A small, simple pendant, that has a swirl on it, was given to her by her mother.

Backstory: Serana's mother was a healer in the city of Winterwood, and had met Serana's father while healing one of his wounds, from an attack from pirates on his boat. They fell in love, but weren't married until 4 years after they met. They were married, and had Serana as a child. 13 years later, Serana's father wanted to show Serana's mother the delights of being a sailor on a boat. It was then when the pirates attacked and sunk the boat. Serana's mother and father swam to floating remains of the boat, while the others didn't have enough strength and drowned. Serana's parents stayed floating on the remains in the middle of the sea, until the wood became too soggy, it started sinking under their weight altogether. A few months later, Serana was told about her parents being missing. She was sent to an orphanage at the age of 13. When she was in the orphanage, she promised to avenge her parents' deaths. That is when she became an archer.
