Kitten Play-Time

Willowkit yawned sleepily from where she was lying in her small nest of moss and leaves, blinking her soft green eyes open. Morning light was streaming into the den already, and the she-kit got up and stretched, wondering how she slept for so long.

The fairly young she-cat popped out from behind Willowkit with a low play-growl. The emerald eyes of Wingedkit shined playfully as she pawed at the kit.

The brown tabby kitten blinked as she heard a growl behind her and whipped around, a smile dancing across her face as she saw Wingedkit, immediately tackling her.

She tumbled over with a half-purr, half-growl letting herself roll over until she was standing on her paws again. Wingedkit pushed her soft, white paws on the ground and lunged forward, pouncing on Willowkit with a giggle.

Willowkit tussled with her friend, trying and clumsily failing to wrestle her into a pinned position.

Wingedkit nipped gently at her friends hind legs. She couldn't help but laugh as the two play-fought. She was only a few days old and had yet to really see the wonders of the camp. Her eyes shifted lightly she perked up and meowed, "Willowkit! Have you seen the camp yet?" the curiosity of the kit was overwhelming she was no longer nipping at Willowkit's leg but instead she crept a little closer to the exit of the nursery.

"Mm, I've peeked outside before, but that's about the extent of it." Willowkit replied, promptly sitting down and grooming the fresh dirt gathered by the tussle out of her fur. "I've been a bit afraid to go alone. There are so many Warriors, it's a bit scary." She admitted rather sheepishly. The she-cat was perfectly fine with other kits, but with lots of adults towering above her, she was a bit freaked out that she would make a mistake and the Warriors would hate her for it.

She let out a sigh and trotted back towards Willowkit and licked at the brown spots in her white fur. Wingedkit joked with Willowkit, "You're afraid?" she laughed, "I'm not afraid of anything! What is there to possibly be afraid of?!"

She cast a slightly sour look at Wingedkit, not enjoying being teased about it. "I'm not scared exactly. Just a little nervous, because I want to look my best in front of the Warriors."

"Well, I'm not nervous at all! In fact, I'm sure all the warriors will love me!" She purred and stared at Willowkit, a faint glimmer in her eyes. Wingedkit looked away slightly, she wasn't as confident as she sounded.

She frrowed her brow, sweeping her tail around her paws. "How can you be so confident though? When I'm made an apprentice, I want every Warrior to wish to be my mentor, not the kitten who nobody wants to train."

ooc- Is this just for kits?

OOC: I'm sure that we could watch amusedly, unless you young apprentices want to tackle them.

Silvershade smiled as she watched the kits attack eachother. Adorable!

Her eyes were bright, "Well," her voice purred, "There's only one way to find out! We should go meet the warriors, then we can tell if they like us or not!" Wingedkit flicked her tail towards the nursery's entrance, "Of course that means, you have to be brave enough to leave."
