Nightpaw, Rustpaw, and Snowpaw's Warrior Ceremony

Sagestar had been pacing back and forth around his den. For the past few moons, he had had a lot on his mind, and his thoughts were only getting more and more crowded with each passing day. The tom let out a short sigh and tried to clear his head, at least for the moment. He had three ceremonies to perform and he knew all of them had eagerly awaited this night long time. He shouldn't keep them waiting any longer.

The young leader leapt out of his den and near flew up to the meeting point to gather his cats, "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey join here beneath the Jagged-rock for a clan meeting!"

Nightpaw walked out of the apprentice's den, her coat was neatly brushed, her spots shone in the light. Her ice blue eyes sparked with joy, and excitement. She finally got to be a warrior, the mOment of her dreams, the moment she had been waiting for for her whole life. She gathered at the front, and looked up at the leader, her face calm, but her eyes gave away her real feelings. Nightpaw wrapped her tail around her paws and smiled.

Rustpaw padded out of the apprentice's den, his very sleek and well groomed. His eyes sparkled in the light, and he sat down next to Nightpaw. He turned to her, purring.
"Our ceremonies! Isn't it great, Nightpaw?"
He smiled at her, his eyes closed with the joy of the moment.
But the joy didn't pulse within him. Inwardly he flinched, wondering if Snowpaw saw them together..

Nightpaw nodded enthusiastically. "This is the best day ever." She brightened with a tilt of her head. "I wonder what my warrior name is going to be." She breathed.

Snowpaw walked out of the Apprentices den. Her pelt was groomed very neatly. She looked very fluffy and clean. It was whiter than usual. Her eyes shone brightly, and she looked up at Sagestar. She had no clue what her warrior name would be. for real. /shot She waited patiently, and sat at the back of the crowd.

Gingerheart padded out of the warrior's den to see the three apprentices waiting excitedly to receive their warrior names. "Oh cool! They are becoming warriors like me!" she mewed, padding up to the rock to sit down and listen to the ceremony.

Oh, Lordy. It had been difficult training these three apprentices at once, but he was glad it was all over and done with. Now ShadowClan would be three warriors stronger.

"Snowpaw. Rustpaw. Nightpaw. Would you three please step forward?" The tom meowed and waited for them to do so before starting the traditional words, "I, Sagestar, Leader of ShadowClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on these apprentices. They have trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code and I commend them to you each in their turn."
His gaze fell on the black and white she-cat, deciding her turn was first. "Nightpaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your clan, even at the cost of your life?"

Snowpaw looked up, stepping forward, but only a pawstep. She spat crossly to herself seeing that he would make Nightpaw a warrior first.

Nightpaw looekd up, her eyes shinning, her eyes proud, She gave a proud, excited, but clear. "I do"

"Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior name." He meowed, "Nightpaw, from this moment on you will be known as Nightwing. StarClan honors your courage and honesty and we welcome you has a full member of ShadowClan."

Snowpaw knew it would be ruse of her to not cheer, but she did. "Nightwing! Nightwing! Nightwing!" she said, a few times, but then stopped, waiting for the next apprentice to be made a warrior.

Nightwing walked up to Sagestar, and licked his shoulder, like she saw the others do. She looked him in the eye and mewed. "Thank you." Before finding her spot next to Rustpaw.

Mallowkit rushed out of the nursery, hoping he wasn't late at the sound of Nightpaw's new warrior name. "Are we late?" he asked, running up into the crowd. "Are we late? Are we late?" he kept repeating, as Feathersong grabbed Mallowkit by the scruff impaitently.
"Mallowkit, stop," Feathersong ordered.
"But, mom-"
"No, Mallowkit. We didn't miss it," she said, interrupting him in a soft tone.

Sagestar smiled and rested his chin on top on her head before returning to his spot, looking to the next apprentice. "Rustpaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your clan, even at the cost of your life?"

"I do." he meowed in a strong, clear voice. His tail quivered and his whiskers twitched as he waited to receive his name.
