Flamestar sat on top of the Skyrock, examining the clan. It was growing, but with leaf-bare drawing closer, things could get ugly.

Silentfeather looked up at Flamestar and asked "Something wrong?"

Flamestar hopped down. "Not really...Just a bit concerned about leaf-bare." He admitted.

"Too many kits? I'm planning to take an apprentice on. Should I talk to the kit in mind?" Silentfeather replied, thinking about Kestrelkit.

Flamestar looked up in surprise. "You mean you've already figured out who is to be your apprentice? Did starclan send you a sign?" He meowed in shock.

"No sign yet, but I know who it is." Silentfeather mewed with a swish of her tail.

"I see. Of course you may." Flamestar agreed.

A tad bit bored, Kestrelkit burst out of the Nursery, heading straight to Silentfeather. "Intruder!" she called, pouncing on the older cat's tail.

"Oh boy. Let go Kestrelkit! I want you to come to my den for a moment." Silentfeather mewed, dodging the kit and heading towards her den.

” Oh! Ok!” She said, trotting after happily. She eyed the cat's tail, but shook her head. Now's not the time.

"Ahem... Kestrelkit, do you know know what this is?" Silentfeather mewed, holding up a few poppy seeds. She wanted to test her before consulting StarClan.

” Well, I think they're poppy seeds.” She said carefully, cocking her head to the side.

"Alright good. How would you think about being my apprentice?" Silentfeather replied, wondering if the kit would rather be a Medicine Cat than a Warrior.

Kestrelkit gasped in shock. "Really? Can I?" she said, bouncing excitedly, bouncing around.

"I'm not sure yet. I need to consult StarClan before you can. Until then, wait for a sign or something." she replied, relieved that the kit wanted to become her apprentice. 'This wound of mine will kill me one day and I have to train someone before that happens!' Silentfeather thought, scared of the results.
