A Friendly Letter

Let me tell you a story.

Once upon a time there was a rosy cheeked Warriors loving little boy bursting with ideas and imagination who found a small little forum.

He took on a pseudonym and soon integrated himself within the community, quickly making friends and experiences for the longest time that made life all the worthwhile and everything was happy forever. It introduced him to a whole new world of learning, history, jokes, and British television.
It opened up a whole new wonderful experience, giving him the goal of becoming a writer and improving his crap skills every day.

But then something happened. Suddenly his circle of friends began to drift away as they all grew up and moved on as newer members replaced them, surrounding the little boy in a terrible circle of cat loving morons.

And then something changed in that little boy. He devolved into something less than human, emotionless and dead inside, feeling only pure hatred for the human beings around him. He turned into a philosophical zombie, something programmed to respond like a person but with no real soul of its own. Going from his bed to his laptop and then back to bed became a daily routine until that creature became the flinty hearted monster you see before you.

Perhaps I was expecting too much when I thought I’d be a bit excited for this day.

October 10, 2009 I wandered confused into the tight-knit WCC tribe, lost from surfing the internet of Warriors related crap and changed my life forever, for better or for worse I suppose.

It’s been three long years, but all the days blend together into a big blob of noobs and typing. Three years since I donned the name Sleepyyawn and acted like a retard in front of the internet.

That rosy cheeked little boy, brimming with excitement and jumping with Mothra-fanboyish glee is now wrapped up in a black garbage bag and rotting away in the swamp in WCC’s backyard, murdered by the cold unforgiving steel blade of reality that nothing good can last forever, especially so if it involves people you genuinely cherish for.

Even that imagination and muse all dried up, popping up again promisingly but then going away once a chapter is out and letting me down like it's playing guess-who with my mind.

And it’s sad to think that I only really remembered because I set an alarm up in advance to remind me.

Oh, but I thought I had some warmth and compassion creep back into my black dead heart when the reboot was starting back up.

People returned and I was actually on the chatbox having a decent talk; something I hadn't gotten in a very long time.

But we just had to ruin it, didn’t we?

To celebrate something new and fresh we automatically reverted to our cancerous ways and suffocated WCC once again, stifling any chance I had at breaking out of this emotionally calloused cocoon and burst out as a beautiful emotion-feeling butterfly. Instead I ended up like my second grade pet caterpillar and got my head stuck and asphyxiated while everyone sat around and hopelessly watched.

And that is just what I am. A dead humiliating mess of an emotionally calloused butterfly, choked on your incompetence as a person. I hope you’re proud of yourself, you miserable waste of atoms.

Sleepy, do you remember the good ol' days of WCC? When Mistpelt was still around? There was so much more respect in this forum... Focus on those days instead.

My earliest memories of this place were Mistpelt going inactive and Graystream having to pretty much take full control before going inactive himself and everyone panicking. So no, I don't think I'm remembering the same good ol' days.
