A New Sunny Day

Reedkit's eyes opened slowly. His eyes had gone from a baby blue to a dark green over the last couple of days. His legs filled with strength and he stood up, yawning loudly and stretching before silently slipping out of the nursery.

He blinked the bright sunlight out of his eyes as the young kit stepped out of the safety of the nursery. It was made of willow branches and padded with sedge. He took a nervous step forward and went paws deep into a small pool of water just outside.

The sun was out now, basking RiverClan in warmth. He took glances around at the active camp under the clear cerulean sky. It was a really beautiful new day.

Reedkit glanced around excitedly and found a discarded ball of moss simply floating in the small pool of water. He batted it out, the waterlogged ball rolling into camp leaving a glistening trail behind it. Reedkit was quick to give chase, flying after it.

Frogfoot padded out of his den with a yawn. He blinked in surprise as a kit darted past him, chasing a ball of moss. With a small smile, he sat down and watched.

Silvershade sat outside of her den, basking in the sun. She giggled as Reedkit chased a moss ball.

Froststar was simply sitting in camp, giving her shoulder a few absentminded licks, smoothing down a couple of stray clumps of fur. The sun on her multicolored pelt felt good, and she noted that it was an excellent day. She looked down, a bit startled as the sodden ball of moss rolled past her tail, leaving the ground darker from water where it touched. She turned a bit to see the kit trailing after it, and purred at the sight. It seemed Reedkit was journeying out of the nursery now. It wouldn't be long before he was made an apprentice, the young leader mused inwardly.

The ball began to lose momentum now, and with one mighty pounce he put that moss ball in its place. That place was in between his paws as he began to attack it. Yeah, moss. No one runs from Reedkit.

No one.

Reedkit looked back towards the dens, where moss had crawled over some of the decorations and to the nursery, where it flashed a brilliant green underwater.



Now that the local plant life was put down he took a look at the amused older cats. His tail shot up, hoping for someone to play with.

Frogfoot stretched, padding over. "Having fun?" He purred. "I can play with you if you're bored."

Acornkit had just woken up from an almost peaceful slumber. Almost. You see it would have been a much better sleep if there hadn't been so many voices coming from around the camp. Never the less, she was awake and it was truely a beautiful day. With a soft yawn the kit padded out where the camp, in the kit's eyes, was where the pandemonium was happening. "Hiya!" She purred excitedly, giving a nervous glance around. A sure sign of hoping she didn't miss anything.

Frogfoot flicked his ear and turned to look at Acornkit. "Hello." He mewed.

The kit squeeked nervously at the unexpected gesture from Frogfoot. Dipping her head with respect for the elder cat, she mewed softly; "Hi Frogfoot!"" Then sat next to her fellow kit, adknowledging Reedkit with a soft mew and a nudge with her pudgey tail.

Froststar laid down on the soft grass, looking around at the others. Yay, an active clan! ;u; "Good morning you two." She meowed, flicking her tail back and forth absentmindedly as she looked over at the kits.

ic: Frogfoot, seeing as Reedkit had a friend to play with now, padded over to Froststar and sat down. "The clan's growing quite fast." He sighed. "But not fat enough. I hate to admit it but our clan is small." He mewed quietly, looking at the kits.

OOC: I keep forgetting that my cat isn't going to be a total RiverClan patriot like I am, as tempting as it is ;w;

IC: Reedkit's small frame shook a little bit more than it should have after his fellow kit's playful nudge. "Hi Acornkit!" the RiverClan kit took a sweeping glance around at his Clanmates. He hardly knew most of them besides their occasional visists to the nursery.

Greykit came bounding out of the nursery her ears pricked and eyes large with excitement "Oh my this is so big and cool!" she squeaked and turned her gaze to the warrior and leader "Hello!" she mewed her blackish shaded nose tickled with extcitement and she turned around without a reply from them and pounced on Reedkit playfully.
