Catching Wind of the Truth (Part 3 of WC Plot)

Lightningkit was terrified. He peeked out of the nursery to see if he could spot his father. He spotted him, but also spotted a large fox. "Stormeye!" He sqealed.

Stormeye took a step back toward the nursery, ducking under from a blow from the fox. In return, he slashed at it, slashing it's ear. His ears perked up at the squee that came from Lightningkit, which caused Stormeye to turn his head. "Lightningkit, stay near Ravenfea-" The moment the fox saw that the warrior was distracted, it slashed at him with a snarl. The sharp claws of the fox cut open Stormeye's belly, causing him to stumble backwards with a gasp. Pain exploded as blood flew everywhere, splattering the ground. He closed one eye, turning his head back to the fox. “Kits are the Clan…as they make up the warriors when we are gone…and I will not let you destroy, WindClan!” Stormeye hissed at the foxes, digging his claws into the ground, planning to keep the nursery safe even if it cost him his life. Mostly because in the den behide him, was his life, everything he cared about.

The mother fox took a step forward and was met by the warrior’s claws, slashing its nose. It scrambled backwards with a help, surprised by how much fight Stormeye still had.

Stormeye snarled at the fox as warm blood oozed from his wounds and dripped down his chest, making a small red pool below him, growing larger by the second. However, Stormeye’s messy fur stuck everywhere, hiding the gash from the rest of the fighting cats, but anybody who noticed the grey and black warrior would notice that he was getting weaker.

Occ: I figure it is about time we wrap this topic up. Rose, Running, and Small has disappeared, so everybody that can fight is fighting right now. Raven is gone, and Grey doesn't seem to want to post.

Edit: And yes, Storm lives. He somehow lives from the wound, but does get another scar. He is going to become leader one day!

Foxpaw let out a gasp as Stormeye was hurt. She ran over, fear in her mind as she lunged at the fox Stormeye was fighting, digging her claws into its back and fear running in her mind.

Storm let out a small purr when he saw his apprentice. He slashed at the fox, doing his best to stay upright. He knew that with Foxpaw's help this fox would be soon running away with its tail beween it's legs.

OoC: Go ahead and deliver some nasty blow, not enough to kill it, so it can see that it needs to leave. The cubs will follow their parents.

ooc: Okay :3

IC: Foxpaw bit the mother foxes neck, leaving a trail of blood trickling down its side while it yelped with pain and into the moorland, the father and cubs trailing after. Soon after, Foxpaw stood up after the fox had shooken her off and she turned to Stormeye. "Are you okay?"

Stormeye let out a small moan, shaking his head, letting out a small cough. "I-I...I don't think so..." he muttered swaying on his paws, and soon came crashing to the ground, landing on his side. His sides heaved as he gasped for breath. The fur on his chest had shifted when he fell, and you could now see the horrible, deep wound the mother fox had left him with. "G-Get, Willowstream!" he gasped, feeling himself slipping away, but he was doing his best not to fall into the darkness that wished to consume him, and perhaps never let him go of its grasp.

Foxpaw's heart bounced with fear as she turned around. Running up to Willowstream, she let out a gasp. "Stormeye is hurt really bad!:

Shiningheart broke away from the father who rushed after its mate and cubs. She had a few scratches on her side and a snaged claw, but she was going to worry about that later. Shiningheart sniffed him. Then rememebred Willowstream. "Willowstream are you ok?' She called. Her sparky Icy Gaze looked around camp for the medicene cat.

Willowstream was already prepared with all of her supplies. She nudged a couple of pouches wrapped up in leaves towards Foxpaw, gesturing that she should help carry them out.

Once by Stormeye, Willowstream set down her packages, prepared to survey the damage. She could see where the major gash was, and how it was oozing blood. Immediately, she took cobwebs from one of her larger pouches, wrapped around a paw, and patted it gently onto the wound across Stormeye's chest.
"This is going to sting," she whispered gently. The medicine cat nudged about 10 small, round seeds towards the warrior's mouth. "Eat these, they'll soothe the pain." She waited while he ate the poppy seeds, and then continued her work.

Once she had cobwebs spread across the most terrible of the wounds, she began chewing up chervil leaves. She spit these back out, scooped them up with a paw, and placed them gently on the gash across Stormeye's chest. By now, her paws had taken on a pink tinge from the body fluids. Willowstream paused a moment, closing her eyes and sending a silent prayer to Starclan for strength. She continued on.

The medicine cat went to move Stormeye to get a better look at his other side, but when a low moan came from the tom, she ceased immediately.
"He must have broken a rib," the tortoiseshell muttered. "Okay, I need a few cats to help get Stormeye to my den. I want him safe and out of the middle of camp. You must be gentle, however, he has an injured rib."

Foxpaw gave Willowstream a slight nod, prepared to help with whatever she could.

Shiningheart postioned herself to carry the large tom. She nodded once she was in place.
