Emberpaw's First Training

Emberpaw nodded. 'Yes Raincloud.' She put her rabbit by a tree stump, and she sniffed the air for any cardinals. She found one in a tree, that wasn't far. She climbed up the tree, quietly. She then crawled toward the bird, still quiet. When she thought it was the right time, She Pounced on it. She got a hold of it, but fell of the branch, with the bird still in her claws. She landed on her feet, but the bird had just enough time to get away. She tried to keep it down, hoping it would stay

Emberpaw smiled when she got it to stay, then she nipped its neck to make sure, and when she got up to bring it back, she noticed the scab on her leg had broke. She brought the bird back. She gave thanks to Starclan that she was able to provide this for her clan.

"Good catch," Raincloud purred. "Let's go," she picked up Emberpaw's rabbit and started heading back to camp.

Emberpaw picked up her cardinal. She tried to keep blood off her paw. Halfway back, she dropped her cardinal. 'Raincloud, the scab on my paw broke, and it keeps bleeding.'

Raincloud dropped the rabbit and turned to face Emberpaw. "Does it hurt?" she mewed worriedly. She bent down and licked some of the blood away.

Emberpaw nodded. 'It does, alot.' She said.

"Do you think you can manage until we get back to camp?" Raincloud asked.

Emberpaw nodded. "I think I can."

"I'll carry your prey and you can lean on me if you feel the need," Raincloud mewed before picking up the cardinal and rabbit.

Emberpaw nodded and stayed close by Raincloud.
