Emberpaw's First Training

Emberpaw rose early from the apprentice den. She went out and waited for Raincloud. She was excited!

Raincloud padded over to Emberpaw. "Ready to go?" she mewed.

Emberpaw nodded. 'Ready.' she mewed back, excitedly.

"Follow me," she mewed as she led Emberpaw into the forest.

Emberpaw obeyed. 'Yes Raincloud' She followed with her head held high.

Raincloud stopped when they were a distance from camp. "What can you smell?" she asked Emberpaw.

Emberpaw sniffed the air. 'I can smell some mice, maybe a starling. and, eww! Something smells bad!''

ooc: -_- ok so what smells bad??

ooc: lets just say it was a stinky rabbit that's now crow food.

Raincloud crinkled her nose. "That's just crow food. Now back to training. Show me a hunters crouch," she demanded.

Emberpaw crouched, and dropped her tail lightly on the ground. she stuck out one of her front paws a little bit out.

"You're close. Tuck your forepaws under your shoulders, your tail needs to be above the ground, and all you weight on your hind legs," Raincloud explained, demonstrating her own hunter's crouch.

Emberpaw looked at Raincloud's demonstration. She copied it exactly. She heard a mouse squeak by, and she sniffed the air, she turned in that direction silently. She then shot off after it when it was close enough. She grabbed its tail, and pulled it towards her. Hoping to get it.

Emberpaw hissed when it got away. 'Mouse-dung!' she spat. She then found a crow, and she did her hunters crouch again, and when the time was right, she leaped on it, giving it barely any time to fly away. She got it between her claws, and got a grip on it.
