Ic: Foxpaw blinked "She never told you?" he asked.

"No," Blackpaw replied, "I never knew my mother, I dont think she was a clan cat though, when I came here some cats said I didnt smell like any clan cats..."

"Oh.." he mewed trailing off "My mother was a clan cat. She never told anyone about me or my father though. After I was born she left me with my father, then my father went out to hunt a little while later and never came back, thats how I ended up here. Raincloud and Bramblestar took me in as their kit." he trailed off "I just wish she was still here." he sighed.

"Thats sad," even though she never knew either of her parents, she still felt sympathy for Foxpaw, she couldnt imagine having her father just walk out one day... "Wanna hunt?" She hated this depressing stuff, so she tried to change the subject.

He shook his head "Ok, lets go!" he trotted off through the trees, stopping to let Blackpaw catch up.

Blackpaw followed, making sure she didnt lose sight of Foxpaw. She stopped when she saw a thrush near Foxpaw, she quietly padded up close to him and showed him where it was with her tail. "You wanna try?" She kept her voice low so she wouldnt scare it, or any other prey that might be around.

"You go " he replied "I smell a bird up there somewhere" he flicked his tail.
