Happy felt a bit unnerved at that comment. They slinked through the forest. Spotting a frog, he dropped low to the ground, tail swishing. He fixed his single-eyed gaze on the slimy creature and pounced, enclosing his claws around its small body. It was slippery, and flew from his grip, landing in a pond. The murky water splashed in his eyes, and he wiped away the grime from his muzzle and eyes. "Neeugh! That's gross!" he complained.

ooc: Since he's blind in an eye, the dice is subtracted by 1 (cuz I wanna xD)

Dawnlight gave a laugh, "It always is for people who don't hunt frogs to often." She mewed. She looked over at a tree and saw a mouse at it's roots. She crouched and walked up to it with silent steps. She sat for a moment then pounced. She swiftly killed it as soon as it was in her paws.

Happy flicked his good ear with amusement. "Wow! You got that mouse so easily!" This gave him a push of confidence. He dropped down and scanned the underbrush. Another frog shifted in front of him, and he took no time to hesitate. He suddenly saw himself landing face-first into the ground. He had lost his footing from the slippery puddles! He sat up and shook his head, disappointed.

"Don't worry the ground takes some getting used to. Now it's my turn." She stood after she buried the mouse and scanned the marshy ground for any sign of prey. She caught sight of a moving green creature that hopped along a log. She crouched, and stalked up too it, It completely unknowing that it was about to be attacked. She held the little green creature in her jaws as she returned to Happy.

Happy stared, amazed. "You're gonna have to teach me how to hunt," he laughed. "'Cause I had to teach myself..." he sighed, scoffing the ground lightly. Trudging forward, he sniffed for prey. He had to show this apprentice that even a half blind cat could hunt! Digging his claws into the ground with frustration, a small movement caught his eye. He looked up excitedly, pressing himself close to the ground. A bird, mud staining its wings. It couldn't fly, so it was completely helpless! Happy pounced, and the bird began flapping vigorously, but the tom enclosed his claws around it, biting its neck swiftly. Bringing the bird back, he puffed out his chest triumphantly. Dropping the bird at their paws, he laughed quietly.

"Good job!" She mewed, "How much more do you think you need?" She asked thinking about how big his family was if he had a big family. "And maybe I could teach you a better stance for hunting, but not now. I will have to return soon, Twanyfur will be expecting me back." Dawnlight mewed kinda saddened by the idea. She liked this tom, as a friend.

Happy looked at the pile. "It looks like enough!" he marveled, inhaling the scents deeply. "I don't have that big a family. Just parents and a sister," he explained, hoping he didn't reveal too much about his family or his parents' identities. The grey cat looked up, smiling softly. "Thanks for helping me. It means a lot, really. Dawn... light, was it?"

"Wow. My family is dead except for my brother who is in Windclan. His name is Stormpaw." She stood there for a moment then replied to his next question. "Yes it is Dawnlight. And Your Welcome." She mewed with a slight purr.

Gathering the prey, he started to depart, but he looked at her. "And, um... Dawnlight? Can you please not tell anyone my name or that you met me? It... I just don't want my family in danger," he laughed weakly.
