Playing with the Kits (wc)

Butterflywing was laying in the center of camp boredly flicking her tail. "Its getting warm soon the prey will be out and moving more" she said to herself.

"Talking to yourself isn't healthy, Butterflywing." Ravenkit meowed, padding up to her.

"oh I was just thinking at least I don't answer myself" she purred "what are you doing ravenkit?" she asked the kit.

"Being bored, of course. I learned the ahrd way not to wander out of camp.." Ravenkit mumbled.

"Yes I know" butterflywing said and flicked her tail beside ravenkit.

Ravenkit sighed softly. "Butterflywing, may I ask you a question?"

"sure, what is?" butterflywing asked looking down

"Is it normal to be afraid of being leader?" Ravenkit asked softly.

"yes, its hard enough being deputy organizing the patrols, but having every cat from kit to warrior depending on you I can barely think of it" butterflywing said "I just hope I dont have to do it alone" she said looking up.

"You're friends with everyone in the clan. You'll never be alone." ravenkit meowed softly.

"your so true, but who knows when a threat will come" butterflywing purred "thank you though ravenkit, You will be a strong warrior when the time comes I believe" then butterflywing got up and padded over near the medicen cat's den and grabbed a piece of moss and threw it at the kit.

Ravenkit jumped away from the moss, staring at it. "What am i supposed to do with that?"

"we play with it, I thought that was still the most popular game in the nursery other than jumping on each other" she purred padding back over to the moss ball again

Ravenkit tentively batted it back. " I don't play nor talk to the other kits in the nursery."

Stormpaw padded from the apprentice den, letting out a yawn, his eyes lighting up when he saw Ravenkit. "Hey, Ravenkit!" he purred as he bounded over, and dipped his head to the deputy. "Good morning, Butterflywing."
