Kits From a Demon

Night lay upon ShadowClan camp like a blanket. Everyone was at ease, sleeping soundly even though cats are nocturnal. Only a few half-asleep cats were up for their vigil. Suddenly, a loud screech pierced the air. It was a bloodcurtling wail, almost hard to actually believe it was truly one of their own warriors, tearing up the corner of the Warriors' Den with unsheathed paws. The black she-cat was giving out loud hisses, and her fur was bristled from head to tail-tip. "TAWNYFUR!" screamed the cat, though the words were hard to make out. Her eyes were wide with fear and anger. Claw marks were already visible on the den walls, and she collapsed.

Dawnpaw ran into the warriors den without stepping on anyone, "What is it Scarletfire?" She hissed.

Scarletfire stared at her with cold eyes. "WHAT. DOES IT. LOOK LIKE?" she snarled through gritted teeth. Her belly was bulged, she was throwing a huge painful fit. No doubt she was having kits.

Dawnpaw stood for a moment then said, "Oh.." She quickly reacted, "Can you move? If you can you need to head in the nursery. If you can't then... I guess I'll just have to cope."

Scarletfire attempted to stand. Mustering all of her energy, she painfully hissed and clawed her way to the Nursery, waking all of the kits. She finally fell onto her side and held her breath, digging her nails into the ground.

Dawnkit followed behind. She thought for a moment then remembered. She ran and grabbed a stick. She pushed it in front of Scarletfire. "Bite down on this if you need to. And push." She mewed calmly.

Scarletfire did as instructed. Almost immediately, she snatched the stick and bit down on it with seething rage and pain. "Just get them out QUICKLY," she hissed.

ooc: How many are their supposed to be? 4?

She pressed a paw on Scarletfire's stomach trying to help her. "It may hurt but, You will be happy when you see your little darlings."

ic: Scarletfire remembered something crucial that Dawnpaw failed to point out. She began to breathe, but they came as heavy breaths. She waited for, like, more people to post before she popped those suckers out.

"Your doing great Scarletfire, The first one is almost here!" Dawnpaw mewed with happiness.

Scarletfire was doing all that contracting stuff, and finally the head of a small creature appeared magically.

Dawnkit pulled the kit over to her, and did what a medicine cat does then started licking it to warm it up. "Good. There is still some more. Three I think."

"Thr-" she began, but the words were caught in her throat. Breaths came quicker, now, and soon enough the next kit appeared. Scarletfire saw the first kit in the corner of her eye. It was gray, and a bit bigger than any normal newborn kit.

Dawnpaw pulled the second kit over and did the same thing with the first kit. "Hmmm... I am surprised the camp hasn't come to see this. New kits are always a blessing."

ic: Scarletfire ignored her comment. A few warriors peeked from the dens, blinking the sleep from their eyes. The second kit looked like the other, except smaller. Much smaller. It's the runt, she realized. It was the smallest kit she had ever seen, and it squirmed and made the highest-pitched squeal she had ever heard. The next kit was coming, and she braced herself, almost snapping the stick in two.
