Heartstar finds her home

When Badgerfang first started, Ebonyroot couldn't help but give her daughter an awkward stare. While it certainly held the twinge of annoyance, it also held a spark of amusement. 'Well, you've certainly inherited you're father's horrible sense timing...' She listen to the rest of her speech, though, feeling a small swell of pride. Badgerfang and Sparrowflight~.

Her happiness quickly ended, and felt a small flare in anger, 'No! Maybe someday, but not tonight!' Her gaze bore down on her mother, trying to lift her up. "Sk- ei -cl -nnn" She forced our once again, giving her throat agonizing pain.

"Ebonyroot speak up!" she mewed

"Ebonyroot the Shadowclan elder?" Stonestar walked in "She cannot talk. She is mute What is going on here?" He looked at them all and looked surprised "Heartstar is that you?"

Ebonyroot felt tears coming to the edge of her eyes. "I- I can't..." Harsh memories started flooding back, Blackraven's warning, that dark night, her own apprentice turning on her... The sharp pain in her neck. Blood, so much blood...
She quickly snapped out of it and dug her muzzle into Heartstar's flank. "It doesn't matter, you're going to be alright..." She head snapped up when she realized that the SkyClan leader as of current times had arrived. She flicked her tail, calling Badgerfang close.

"Who are you?" She asked the cat who was approaching "I can't see you come closer!" she mewed cautiously.

Ebonyroot nosed her mother gently. 'It's alright... Thank StarClan!' she sighed with relief.

"I am Stonestar the leader of SkyClan" Stonestar said and walked up to them "What happened here?"

Heartstar staggered to her feet and followed the voice of the cat "I'm the leader you aren't!!! I never died and im not an elder!!" She shreiked at the warrior who was named stonestar.

Ebonyroot sprang on her feet. 'Heartstar, you need to be careful with yourself!' she gasped silently.

"Where did you go?" Stonestar wasn't scared by her "After you disappeared so many tried to become leader.... Emberfrost and Snakefire and Frostfur.... but they are all gone or retired now. Starclan could not find you so they chose me to lead the clan"

"Who are you to call yourself leader!! I bet you didn't even look for me for a day before you claimed me dead!!!" She hissed

Ebonyroot looked on sadly, stepping back by Badgerfang.

"My clan has been doing nothing BUT looking since before I was even born!" Stonestar spat "Why dont you explain to me why you left us??!"

"I Left for hnting and a twoleg saw me!!" She shrieked "I didnt want to leave!!!"

"But we couldn't wait forever. Without a leader the clan was in chaos" Stonestar muttered. He never wanted to be leader by Starclan had wanted him too "But now everything is okay again. If you want I can take you back home and Brightstorm and Dustwing can look after you"
