Countless days had passed in a blur since she'd first woken up in the medicine cat den and Nectarflower felt no better than she had before. Her foreleg hurt just as much if not more than when she'd first been injured, and breathing hadn't become any easier. However, whatever Hemlockfox had done had worked and her wounds were clean and, according to him, healing well so far. It didn't feel like it, but she was inclined to trust the word of a medicine cat over her own opinions. Still, moving was a bit of an issue or...okay, a big issue.

It had taken the help of Hemlockfox and another warrior to get her out into the clearing, but she was immensely grateful for the change in scenery. Wasting away in her nest in Hemlockfox's den, listening to him sigh and groan all of the time was absolutely depressing. Besides, he wasn't even good company. It was like sharing a den with a grumpy badger. So, needless to say, the fresh air and familiar faces were a welcome distraction from the constant pain. Even if there wasn't much to do beside watch her clanmates work and chat amongst each other.

Hopefully, one of her friends would find the time to visit her for a little while. She could talk now, sparingly thanks to her damaged trachea, but it was better than nothing. After a moment of calmly observing her clanmates coming and going, a familiar tortoiseshell pelt caught Nectarflower's gaze. Eveningmoon. A purr built up in Nectarflower's chest at the sight of her daughter and she stared at her for a few moments, hoping to catch her eye.

When Finchspeckle had gone missing, Eveningmoon had thrown herself into her work - hunting as much as she could as a distraction. In the wake of Nectarflower's injuries, it had started to repeat itself - the young warrior often out of the camp as if trying to make up for the loss of her mother being unable to hunt. It was tiring and starting to take a toll, her paws aching and her breath coming quickly that she had to cut her hunting session short to her cringe. She...She had to keep providing to the Clan - to make sure they were alright. That Nectarflower could take all the time she need and the Clan wouldn't suffer for it. She had to be useful.

A soft sigh escaped her as she pushed herself into the camp, ears flat at the simple fact that she hadn't managed to catch a single thing but she knew it was her fault - she had been hunting so much, so often that she was losing her touch from her exhaustion. She just...She just needed to rest, and then she would be fine. Her eyes flickered up thought as she could feel a gaze staring into her pelt, her fur starting to prickle until she spotted her mother staring at her. "Momma!" she called out, relief to see Nectarflower outside of the medicine cat's den for once. She...She hadn't visited as much as she wanted, it had been hard to see her mom bound to the nest and in such a state so the fact that she was in the open was a relief. She rushed forward, purring up a storm as she nuzzled into her mom's side - careful to avoid the injured leg. "Oh momma, its so good to see you out! H-How are you doing? Do you need anything?" she questioned, pulling back to nervously look over her mom - eager to do whatever she could to make sure her mom was doing well.

Nectarflower's green eyes lit up as Eveningmoon noticed her and she couldn't help the smile from forming on her face. Though, as she watched her daughter for a few more moments, it became clear how exhausted the young she-cat was. How much time did she spend out on the moor? And was she going by herself? No cat entered the camp behind her, which Nectarflower took as a yes. Didn't she know how dangerous it was to hunt alone? Between the dog that had mauled her and the various deaths recently, she should be more careful!

A purr built up in the tortoisehsell warrior's chest and she leaned carefully into Eveningmoon, glad for the affection. "You don't need to fret over me darling, I'm just getting some fresh air." She meowed warmly and then, in a conspiratorial whisper, added. "It's so stuffy in there with that grumpy SkyClanner, y'know?" A warm laugh bubbled up from her throat, but was quickly cut off by a sharp cough. Oops. She wasn't used to talking this much since the accident.

Technically, she could talk just fine, it was just a little hard to catch her breath if she did for too long at once. It made her worry about how she'd be able to contribute to the clan once she was all healed up. The wounds the dog's jaws left around her neck weren't bad - they'd just damaged something in her throat apparently. With a soft shake of her head, Nectarflower slowly leaned over to lick the top of her daughter's head. "But how are you, dear? Not working too hard, I hope?" She asked, brow raised almost suspiciously.
