Good Time [c]

Honeylight trotted cheerfully beside Harechaser, enjoying the weak Leaf-fall sun filtering through the pine trees. He breathes in the scent of fresh pine, enjoying the feeling of it crunching under his paws. The layer of pine needles had soaked up the majority of the excess water leftover from the flood, returning Shadowclan's territory from wet to it's normal damp. Honeylight certainly felt grateful for it, he didn't shudder every time he stepped out from the camp and water soaked into his paws. It was a nice day, and Honeylight was enjoying the crisp air and the way his thick fur didn't feel overly hot. He thought that it was the perfect weather for a nice hunt, and he planned on getting plenty of prey to fill the fresh-kill pile.

"Think this is a good spot to get started?" Honeylight asked, wanting to check with the senior warrior on patrol. He slowed down his trot and looked around with bright honey-gold eyes. He took a deep breath, testing the scents lingering in the air. "I'm pretty sure I smell frog nearby." He added with a soft, excited purr.

Honeylight gave Harechaser a smile and a nod. Mindful of her instructions, when he turned to follow the scent of the frog he had caught, he was cautious about how far away he was wandering, wanting to stay close enough he could still smell Harechaser's scent amid the pine and prey-scent. Before long he spotted the frog, waiting patiently on a leaf for prey of it's own. With a smile Honeypaw bent down into a hunting crouch, crawling forward and wiggling his hindquarters before leaping forward and onto the frog. 

To his delight, his paws made contact with the slippery frog. He finished it off with a swift bite, scooping it up and turning to return to Harechaser. When he bounced over to her, he spotted the frog she had too, and he beamed around his own. "Nice, we both caught one!" He said with a happy purr around his own catch, words a little muffled.

Honeypaw attempted to catch a frog and succeeded! It cost him -3 SP.
