Muse observed the ShadowClan cats with interest, but there was a familiarity to it now. She knew them by name, could pick out which were kits and apprentices and warriors and which ones had special names; still such a strange system compared to what she knew. But new things weren't always bad; just... Different.

Somehow, she was starting to think part of her would miss this place. Oh, her paws itched to chase the horizon once again; but she sort of liked the idea of lingering, too--just a little while.

None of that was what she had gathered a group for, though.

"You know the rules by now, right?~" she asked, light and breezy. "You've gotta take turns trying to sneak past me. If I can't catch you, you win!~"

Larkshine was ecstatic to be training with Muse again; the molly made a great teacher. She listened closely before jumping to her feet and trotting a short distance away. The excitement made the young warrior want to run past her instructor, but she forced herself to walk, though it was a faster walk than normal. She quickly slipped past Muse and despite her quick movements, she made it without being noticed. She gave a slight chuckle as she sat down behind the molly.

Larkshine used Shadowstep for -10SP and was successful

Cardinalkit had found herself in a bind the last time she had tried this stealth move that the cats from far away had taught them, but she still wanted to try again. Only wimps were scared of failure. She wasn;t scared of anything. She started forward with soft, quiet pawsteps and made sure to not look down at her paws. The kit was quite pleased with herself as she managed to slip past Muse without being detected. There. Too easy. Truly, what competition did she have other than herself?

Webkit

Swimming through the Milky Way

Webkit had been laying on her back near the nursery admiring the way the world looked upside down for who knows how long when she noticed Cardinalkit wander past her. She contorted her body to watch what was happening. Muse was playing some sort of game with the other cats. Something sneaky. Meh.

She was about to straighten out again and go back to staring at a particularly interesting patch of ground upside down when her eyes focused on the swishy movement of Muse's tail. Webkit's pupils promptly swallowed her eyes and she flipped to her paws.

Teef.

The little silver scrap of fluff crept forward slowly, gaze focused solely on the offending fluffy appendage. She managed to close the gap between them pretty quietly... that is until she tripped over her own forepaw and stumbled face first into the dirt.

Webkit used Shadow Step and failed!

Smokeykit snorted at his sister, unsurprised at Webkit's failed attempt to sneak past Muse - or even stay on her feet. So she couldn't even walk without tripping over her own paws - it was almost sad. It was really a good thing she had a strong brother like himself, and a sister with such potential like Cardinalkit; together, he was sure they could manage to keep Webkit alive past kithood. Probably.

It was his turn now, though. His maw split into a cocky grin as he padded forward, keeping low to the ground and slipping into the shadows like Virtue had first showed him. He'd failed the first time, but he would do better this time, he was sure of it. He had to prove himself.

And then he sneezed.

Fox-dung! Smokeykit batted at his nose, frustrated and frankly furious with the traitorous thing. Why couldn't he do something so simple? He'd be dead if she were a real predator.

"Neither of you saw that." He growled, glaring at his siblings. He could never protect them at this rate.

Smokeykit used Shadow Step...and failed! What a loser!

Shinekit watched hungrily as the others took their turn at the training exercise, tail flicking with anticipation. Her first chance as a still young kit lay before her and while it's hardly the most intense or serious affair, to her it was everything. In her still small and limited little world this was the biggest chance she had ever been given, a chance to prove that she was exactly as quick and sneaky as she always thought she was to herself while playing among the tall plants, a chance to grow even better at it by learning to fully slip into shadows, or a chance to completely make a fool out of herself in front of everyone.

With a deep breath, she darted forth and just barely skirted past, but by starclan she made it. With a gleeful jump she couldn't help but celebrate her victory with a cheerful meow.

Shinekit used Shadowstep and suceeded!
