Three kits stood before Virtue, their big eyes either wandering every which way or focused intently on him with no in between. His smile was kind, eye lingering on Juniperkit only for a moment, a silent thought flittering past. "Alright you three, listen up! You will each get the chance to sneak up on me from the shadows and give me a little nip on the ankles. Once I turn my back to you, the fight begins. Ready?" He turned in a half circle, all four paws leaving the ground as he hopped, his silver tabby back now turned to the cute creatures. He braced for impact; kit teeth weren't as awful as a grown adults, but they could still sting like an accidental brush against nettles.
She remained in his memory simply as the most plaintive and poignant of a line of ghosts
Trying again... how many times had Virtue tried to teach her something, only for her to fail miserably? Maybe... maybe this time would be better. Juniperkit was with Cardinalkit and Briarkit again, which she thought was fine since she was at least with someone she knew. Not that it helped with her nerves as she stumbled forward. She was supposed to bite the tom's ankle... but she wasn't Hollowpaw. She warily nipped the tom's ankle, being as gentle as she could to not hurt him. Not that her fangs did much damage anyway. It almost hurt, and the black she-kit backed away to rub her muzzle.
Briarkit's tail flicked back and forth in excitement at the idea of more training by the not-Shadowclan cats. She stood beside her sister and cousin, fully focused on the older tom as he spoke. Finally he turned his back, and Briarkit tentatively moved forward alongside Juniperkit, tiny fangs snapping at the tom's ankles. Kit teeth could hardly do real damage, but one day... One day they'd all be big enough to do something more, right?

Cardinalkit, obviously, was ecstatic that she had the opportunity to learn a move from the special outsiders before her apprenticeship had even began. This was the perfect chance to prove that she was ready to receive the coveted 'paw' at the end of her name. She allowed Juniperkit and Briarkit to attempt the move first before she barreled forward and nipped at the tall tom's ankle with her small kit teeth.
