vanishing act [OPEN]

Swiftheart had taken a lesson from Cherish already about how to blend in better to her surroundings and hide from predators.

Her ears perked up hearing that muse now had a similar idea for training how to become more hidden and sneaky. The happy, energetic warrior nodded and thought about ways to get by her.  These new cats sure seemed to have clever ways of training and she was all for it.

The excited warrior slipped away from the group pretending to be not interested even though she very much so was intrested.

She went off to the side and waited a bit.  It was much harder in camp here as opposed to where cherish had trained earlier where she could use the snow to her white fur. She would just have to be quick... or maybe she could be a distraction even if she herself failed it might let someone else get in un-noticed

Again, one of the she-cats that had taken shelter in Shadowclan had gathered up some of the kits and Briarkit's older clanmates. She was curious about them, and the games they offered were interesting ones, she was beginning to realize. It had taken no convincing to get her to join the group despite her tendency to back away from them after too long, but the little kit was eager to see what they would do tonight.

Get into her mother's den (not that it was really used much) without being spotted... Briarkit frowned up at the she-cat as she thought, eyes turning toward the entrance of the den. A slower approach, perhaps, while her attention was turned? The patchwork-pelted kit slunk forward hesitantly. Surely she couldn't focus on all of them at once. And Swiftheart was tall and strong, perhaps if she used her aunt as a way to hide...?

Her paws made it into the den proper, and the kit released a breath, wide eyes glancing over her shoulder at the she-cat. Had she done it?

Hollowkit had watched as Swiftheart had left from snuggling with them in the nursery to go... play hide and seek? Little limbs followed behind her, the already shadow-colored kit particularly interested in what was going on. She didn't quite know what she was doing, but it was easy enough to try and keep her giggles to near-silent as she followed the lead of her older Clanmates. As far as she knew, the she-cat who wanted to play was one of them, even if something about her smelled a little different. It didn't matter-she was a cat the same as them, and could speak the same language as them... so she was one of them!

Little paws snuck forward, doing their best to be as quiet as possible. She had the idea to try and stick to the edges of Muse's vision, to almost make it look as if she were participating but not quite. Of course, that only took her so far, as before long, she wound up right beneath the she-cat's nose. Sitting up straight, a big smile came onto the kit's maw, and she lifted a paw in greeting. "Oh, hello, miss!"

Batpaw had been listening from a distance initially, but soon realized that Muse was teaching these cats another skill. The same skill he'd been trying to perfect for the last several moonrises once he had remembered it was actually effective and useful, unlike whatever he was learning in his training - in his humble opinion.

The last time it was Muse who had shown him, who was now trying again. He, as well as his denmates, had failed at the time, but he swore it would not happen again. He started to creep forward, forcing his tail not to lash.

Stars above, he'd finally done it! StarClan had not forsaken him after all. He found himself within Leopardstar's den, not far from Orchidpaw, who he offered a prideful nod to.
