Her struggling wasn't in vain: his teeth ached too much to hold on any longer, her constant jostling giving him a headache. Letting go, he swiped at her with wreckless abandon, catching his filthy claws across her chin this time. His masked face scrunched as he growled at her with a grin. He had caught his claws against her bottom lip and down to her chin.

Her yowl was speckled with blood as his claw raked her muzzle, splitting open the skin on her lower jaw. She stumbled backwards, coughing as blood managed to find its way into her mouth as it quickly started to pool. Her tail lashed as she shook her head, scattering blood every which way before her eyes narrowed to pin-points. Anger boiled within her, eyes pin-points as she charged forward - lashing out with a paw only for it to strike the pelt that was shielding him but she dug her claws in anyways. A snarl escaped her, blood bubbling at the corner of her mouth before she reeled backwards and spat a mouthful of crimson at his face as a distraction - and insult - before she lashed out again with her other free paw, this time aiming for his underbelly again. She didn't managed to land it, her body jolting as a wave of nausea and pain washed over her and she stumbled slightly but she quickly waved it away with a snarl. Her eyes flickering towards the closest weak spot she could see, his neck. She darted forward, attempting to snap down on it but her aim was off as the whole world wavered, her teeth getting close but she was forced to reel back with another shake of her head.

It was obvious however - she had realized how the battle was turning and was starting to get desperate to end it however she could...And it wasn't like the life of a rogue mattered that much.

Badgermask used Belly Rake on Grub, costing 25 stamina. Badgermask failed the attack and dealt 5 damage to herself.

It was the writhing in disgust after the she-cat had spat her own blood on him that finally loosened the one-eyed badger pelt, the bell lodged in the undamaged eye socket jingling as both fell to the mud with a dull thud. He rolled on the ground, paws desperately trying to rub the blood from his eyes before jumping to his paws to glare at her through blurred vision. There were few cats he personally hated, but this cat was now on his list.

He would, however, be saving that dirty little trick for future scuffles. As gross as it was, it had been effective in repelling a cat like him.

He lashed out at the she-cat who could now barely stand on her own paws, before making a mad dash away from this place as fast as he could. His paws slipping and sliding as he finally gained enough traction to hightail it out of there; the badger pelt and bell left behind in his scrambling.

Grub used Fight and Flee, dealing 10 damage and using all remaining SP.

Badgermask stumbled as the pelt slipped from the tom, barely keeping herself as he managed to worm himself away in his panic to clear the blood from his face. She shook her head, scattering blood before she turned to leap at him...Only to receive a paw to her face. It raked across her cheek, drawing even more blood and sent her crashing to the ground even as he fled. She laid there, blood soaking into the badger's pelt beneath her as she tried to stop the world from fading into darkness as the energy that had carried her thus far was starting to fade.

She wasn't sure how long she was sprawled out until finally her body felt stable enough to push herself to her paws, awkwardly throwing the pelt across her back before her ears twitched at the annoying ringing noise happened. She turned, trying to find the source of it as it rang out with every little movement until she dimly remembered the glint that had been in the badger's eye - how the noise had happened with every step of that rogue. Was it the shiny thing making the noise...? What an annoyance - it was hardly fit for a ShadowClan cat and she knew it wasn't part of her sister's pelt. Maybe they could remove it, but if they couldn't, hopefully Heathermask wouldn't mind.

...Oh right. She turned and started to lumber her way towards the camp, her head held high despite the blood loss - giddy to make her sister's night with the return of the pelt.

She just had to hope it was actually her sister's long missing badger pelt.
