One more ceremony would need to be held today. Just as important as the first two, this last kit would undoubtedly be someone to watch out for. Of the few times Sablestrike had seen the kit he had felt an eerie sense of uneasiness. He held eyes that didn't seem to belong to a kit, but someone he had once known as a threat.
"All cats old enough to silently stalk in the shadows, please gather in the shadow of the Jaggedrock for a Clan meeting!"

Everything I say is a lie, but they’re the only things keeping me alive
Another of his mentor's kits was moving to the apprentice's den, it seems. Quillsplash was sitted a little at the side, watching the ceremony in silence. Excitement buzzed in the air, something that he found himself unable to truly understand. What was so special about changing your name to a 'paw? You just had so much more responsibility. Whatever, maybe it was just something Clan kits liked.
perfection is found in accepting your imperfections
Tawnyshadow limped out of the make-shift medicine cat den, shaking her sore paws loosely. Her shoulder seemed to be only getting worse, even though herbs were now far more available than it had been in the mountains. With a tried sigh, the she-cat settled close to the medicine cat den to watch, her paws too stiff to carry her any further.

Wolfkit was angry today. His ceremony had been put after the others, and he was angry because of it. But, Mama said best behaviour, so he would do his best. Hedgekit and Fernkit had all been before h--... Hedgepaw and Fernpaw? Ugh, that would take getting used to. He was proud of them, and so he gave Sablestrike a look that burned with a seething anger instead. It was his fault for putting him last. He was waiting to hear another name. Stagkit, or something, and leave him til the very end just to make a point. Probably to make him angry at his siblings, like that would work.
And even then, he almost leapt out of his skin when the deputies eyes fell on him for a moment. That was the deputy, right? He didn't pay attention much. He shuffled on his paws, and realised he wasn't even quite sure what Leopardstar looked like. Not that he cared, but he supposed he should at least try to. He ran is tongue along his lips in anticipation, and in his mind, chanted; 'Say it. Say it. Say it.'

Sablestrike's gaze settled on the young tom just in time to see a flash of anger, quickly replaced the moment Wolfkit knew he was being watched. It wasn't often he saw that kind of look from any of his clanmates, at least not anymore. A tiny smile ripped through the deputy's stoic expression as he regarded the kit. Not as interesting as the other two, but Wolfkit was just as fiery if not more so. "Wolfkit, please step forward."
The tom scanned the crowd below, eyes locking onto Tawnyshadow. She had been experiencing difficulties all day due to that injury. She would have been his first choice in mentor for this kit, but she clearly wasn't in the condition for that. No matter, there was another warrior that had yet to be a mentor. "You have reached the age of six moons, Wolfkit, and are ready to become an apprentice. From this day on until you earn your warrior name you shall be known as Wolfpaw. Your mentor will be Silverhawk. He proved invaluable during our stay at the lakes and is a capable warrior, I trust he will pass on all he knows to you." There was still another of Pineblossom's kits to attend to, but they had already went through enough ceremonies today.
Sablestrike dismissed the clan with a flick of his tail before leaping from the Jaggedrock and padding towards Tawnyshadow. He didn't allow the molly enough time to slip back into the den, closing the distance between them rather quickly. "We need to talk" Golden eyes bore down on the molly with a fierce solemnity. Tawnyshadow had made a habit of trying to avoid him lately, but that wasn't going to stop him now.

Fernpaw's ceremony had happened, so that meant Wolfkit's and Stagkit's had to be soon. And sure enough, her biting-est brother was the next one to receive his name. Big brother Silver was his mentor? If Hedgepaw wasn't so excited for her brother, she would be jealous. Her brothers got Mamma and Silver and she got someone she didn't even know. But that was okay--she'd be okay. They would all patrol together anyway, and she was so happy for them! "Wolfpaw! Wolfpaw!" Tackling him like she'd tackled Fernpaw would likely lead to a fight, playful or otherwise, so she decided against it, but she did offer him a friendly bap on the shoulder with her snow-white paw. "You get Silver to teach you? You're going to be the strongest ever!"
Stagkit was used to being last. Last to be born, last to get the joke, and now last to be apprenticed. The brown tabby Tom felt nothing but pride as his brother was called up to be apprenticed and to their eldest brother no less!
“Wolfpaw! Wolfpaw!” He yowled, joining his sister in swatted his brother on the other shoulder with his own paw. Stagkit being quite large, his swat could’ve felt more like a big ole punch but if it did Stagkit didn’t notice, he just kept smiling. “Now all that’s left is mine.” He said puffing out his chest, “You better save a nest for me in the apprentice den.”

Silverhawk
Hedge and Fern already had their their ceremonies. Fernpaw, of course, would end up as a model warrior under Pineblossom's tutelage. Silverhawk himself had been trained by her--even as a replacement--and she was their mother, too. He was more concerned about Hedgepaw... Quillsplash made his hackles itch. Silverhawk wouldn't be surprised if he had to take her training into his own paws at some point. But that wasn't his focus right now: Sablestrike was climbing back up the Jaggedrock, and Silverhawk was sure another of his siblings would be named. Wolfpaw was called forward and named as efficiently as their other siblings had been, even if he'd been seething in the crowd. Silverhawk's fur ruffled with pride, though he equally felt a flash of bitter humor in the lulled moment before Wolfpaw's mentor was named. It was a shame Fernpaw was already Pineblossom's apprentice-- she was probably the only one that could mentor their brother without losing limbs to his wanton teeth. But before Silverhawk could look around to wonder who it might be, his name rang from Sablestrike's mouth.
He looked forward immediately, chest tightening with... he couldn't sort it out. Dread; fear stirred over a nagging memory; thrill. "Invaluable" was an assignment flattering enough to quiet his worry for the moment. When the words concluded, Silverhawk padded over to the huddle of his forming siblings, balancing him back from Stagkit's swat before bending to ceremonially press their noses together. "Why don't we get started right away?" He hummed, squinting warmly. "I know everyone wants to congratulate you," he looked between Hedgepaw and Stagkit, then through the crowd for their mother before refocusing on Wolf, "but I bet you wanna shake off that restlessness, don't you?"

Wolfkit ambled up at the call of his name, craning his neck only slight to look at Sablestrike as he cast his lot. The larger kit, well-- apprentice, now--, suppressed an eager grin at who his mentor would be. And as soon as all was said, it was done, and he leaped down to complete this stupid ceremony thing.
And then came a little thump, and a larger thwack that caused him to make an 'oof!' sound. He bared his teeth at Stagkit, turning to thump both he and Hedgepaw back in turn. Of course, his paw slowed for Hedgepaw. If she looked at him with those sad eyes ever again he might rip his own pelt off. Stagkit, however, got a harsh hiss and a whallop across the shoulders.
"Of course I'm gonna be strong, Hedge," Wolfpaw replied gruffly, but it sounded like there was a tad edge of a purr in his voice. Wolfpaw, purring? Star-Things forbid! "I need to kill anyone who looks at you funny. O' course I'm gonna be strong." His gaze on Stagkit then, he added; "I'll wait for you, get the stuff for a nest. And then we fight over it. Whoever loses has to make their own nest, and the other cats. Deal?"
And then Silverhawk came over, and Wolfpaw realised that the stupid, silly, pointless ceremony wasn't over. He leaned over to return the nose tap, and once it was done, flipped it into a ferocious headbutt before falling back with a toothy grin. "Let's go," He sneered, his tail tip flicking with the excitement of it all. He wanted to sink his teeth into something. Anything. A tree, if he had to. "I wanna fight you while we're out here."
Even at his ceremony, Wolfpaw couldn’t seem to sit still and remain calm. Pineblossom normally chided Wolfpaw for reckless behavior, but she found that she couldn’t stop smiling as she watched him now. It was his ceremony, after all…he could act how he wanted, as foolish as he looked to her. She approached before he could go sprinting off in excitement and smiled at him. “You listen to Silverhawk, alright? A cat doesn’t become a warrior overnight. It requires a lot of work and listening to your mentor.” She gave him a pointed look before her expression softened and she touched their foreheads together affectionately. “Congratulations, Wolfpaw.”
