| It had become a common sight to see Eveningpaw out in the field more than ever...And usually on her own. Before the Clans had arrived at the lake, her being on her lonesome would have been the furthest thing from her mind but now... Her Clanmates - her family was sick - and Tigerdance had so much in his paws that she never felt right asking her mentor to go out with her. She was one of the few healthy cats in WindClan - she had...She couldn't let them down, not when it fell on her to do everything in her power to help. So, when given the chance she was out hunting in an effort to try to refill the fresh kill pile and today was no different.
Her ears twitched as her eyes managed to settle on the brown fur of a rabbit - or was it a hare? She wasn't sure on the difference between the two just yet - nibbling away on the grass as it worked to fatten up before the coming cold season. She dropped into a crouch, whiskers quivering as she approached...Before she broke into a dash to quickly close the distances. Its head shot up, barely managing to turn and make it a tail-length or two before the small apprentice was upon it - crashing into it and sending the two rolling. Their scuffle was messy as they both attempted to scramble to their paws but Eveningpaw won out - drawing to her full height before she pounced on it once more, pinning it before she managed to finally end its life.
She drew back with a shiver - she didn't like it, killing. Not even when it came to prey but she knew...She knew it was how it had to be. It was easier to stomach than the idea of ever fighting another cat, that was for sure. She stared down at the hare - rabbit? - with a soft frown. It was...Actually quite large. Getting it back to camp was going to be an effort, but for now she worked to catch her breath after the tussle with it.
Eveningpaw attempted to catch a hare and succeeded, costing 3 stamina!
