The creek that split from the river, winding through SkyClan's territory, had always fascinated Mistflower. The river was rushing water, the creek was flowing- shallow and easygoing in comparison. Once or twice she'd gone so far as to take a single step within the water, but more frequently she would watch the sunlight dancing on the water. It was beautiful, glittering and shimmering the way the snow had several moons before.

"Sunlight dancing on the water," she murmured, to herself rather than anyone else- as far as she knew, she was alone. "It's so pretty..."

Of all the areas in her new clan there was one that stood above all the others in terms of beauty. It wasn't as dazzling as the flowers fields back home, but Silverwing had come to thoroughly love the creek that ran through their territory. It was an absolutely beautiful sight no matter the time of day, and it drew prey easily. On many occasions the molly had spent her entire day lazing around the stream. Today was supposed to be one of those days, but as she travelled downstream a figure blocked her path.

She wasn't sure if the cat hadn't heard her yet, or if she just didn't care. Either way, it didn't matter much. Silverwing sidled up to the young molly, eyes peering out at the same glittering water. Silverwing nodded in agreement. Her new companion didn't have to say that, it was clear just by the sight that they both shared. "Your name... Mistflower, right? Do you come here often?" The spotted molly's eyes didn't leave the water as she spoke. "I do. I don't really remember seeing you around here though." Well, the creek did span a large portion of their territory, it wasn't too farfetched to believe they had managed to dodge each other up till this point.

The sound of an unfamiliar voice made Mistflower tense for a moment, but she quickly relaxed- the scent was SkyClan, and she was keeping her distance from the borders; she'd be surprised if any other Clan cats crossed this far into SkyClan territory unchallenged.

"It's nicer than the river," she said instead of a proper answer. "Less intimidating. Less strangers."

It seemed a little silly, looking at her reflection, to be as nervous as she was. Her face was soft features, a shy smile and eyes as green as the leafy canopy above, but her form was large and imposing, made moreso by the dark and smoky colors of especially fluffy fur.

She'd gained confidence, yes, but not enough; not enough to lift her gaze from the water to look at her new companion, only to guess from the sound of her voice that it was the WindClan exile they had welcomed into SkyClan some time ago.

Silverwing, wasn't that her name? It was a nice name.
