It was all numb. The world was grey. No bright, beautiful leaves. Just dark storm clouds, hovering over her. She tried to stay strong during most of the day, so nobody suspects anything. But being so falsely cheerful was exhausting. Cedarheart had consumed herself in her duties, joining as many patrols and training sessions as she could to keep her mind off the events that had happened just a few sunrises ago.
She no longer felt happiness as she pranced through the forest, no longer watched the changing leaves in awe. Her world was silent, as if the whole forest was holding their breath, waiting to see what she would do next. And she didn't know. She didn’t have the answers.
