Banish the shadows (closed)

While Dawnfeather was the second sweetest cat she had ever met, she had brought back memories of an old friend that Silverwing had tried to keep down. Those memories brought a certain sadness with them, something that she was now looking to erase entirely. Nothing brought her more joy that playing with kits, and it was with this in mind that the spotted she-cat made her way into Skyclan's nursery. Kits were small, cute, and innocent. They didn't mind if you were from a different clan, all they cared about was having fun.

Silverwing's gaze fell upon an adorable kit, one that made her heart almost leap out of her chest! This had been the right thing to do. Any thoughts that might lead to sadness left Silverwing's mind as she focused on the kit, padding slowly up to it with a sweet smile on her face. "Hello there, little one. What's your name?" She purred. Stars it felt good to be talking to a kit again. When was the last time she had done something like this? Certainly not since joining Skyclan.

littlekit was looking around gbe nursery at the other kits wishing she was more brave to ask to play. She felt lonely as she watched the others play. Just as she was about to give up and go to sleep, she saw an older cat walk into the nursery. The older cat came towards her and started talking. The small kit looked up at the older cat, many questions flowing through her head. She smiled as she opened her mouth to let her sweet voice answer the cat. "Im littlekit, and you are?" she asked not realizing she was sniffing the older cat all over.

The kit opened its mouth, and for a moment the silver molly was sure her heart had stopped. Silverwing could hardly contain a laugh as the kit started sniffing her. Stars this was a cute one, but then again she couldn't remember seeing a kit that was anything less than heart meltingly cute. "I'm Silverwing. It's lovely to meet you, Littlekit." Silverwing's tail flicked toward the nursery's entrance. "Would you like to take a walk with me? No, that would be too boring. Would you like to play with me?" What kit could resist playing? Well, Sleepyhollow hadn't been too enthused at first, but she was quick to warm up to the idea.

Littlekit jumped up in excitement, finally someone wanted to play with her! She ran out of the nursery before even answering silverwing. Se was so excited to finally leave the boring nursery tjat she didnt even look back until she realized what happened. She sheepishly smiled as she watched silverwing come out of the nursery.

This time Silverwing found it impossible to hold in her laugh at the kit's excitement. The spotted molly trotted out of the nursery, her smile only growing wider at Littlekit's own. "Your mother must be really proud to have a kit as cute as you." Repeating. Was she repeating herself? Something felt oddly familiar about this moment, as if she had said the same thing before but to someone else. Well even if she had, that kit would no longer be around to hear her now. "So, whaddya wanna play? Moss ball? We could race, or spar!" Silverwing's tail flicked in excitement as she awaited the kit's answer.

Littlekit ran towards silverwing before stopping after hearing the comment about her mother. It kinda became a sore topic to her as no one would tell her what happened to her parents. One day she woke up to a lot of cats frantically running around the nursery and they seemed distressed. "I dont know if she is proud, I dont have one, or a dad.~ she mewed not realizing her mood for playing got ruined.

"A-ah. I'm sorry, Littlekit." She truly hadn't meant to bring up bad memories for the kit, all Silverwing had wanted to do was give the cute little fluff ball a compliment. Silverwing knew what it was like to live without parents. It had been extremely lonely, something that had only gotten better when she met Blazefang. Hold on. She could be Littlekit's Blazefang! The cat that would always be by her side, someone to look up to and to... Wait a minute, I've got a better idea!

"Do you want one?" Silverwing knew that she was probably crossing a line with this suggestion, but she had to at least try. "I may not be a queen, but I'd be proud to be your mama... If you want, of course." Stars she sounded so awkward! Why was this so hard?

Littlekit looked up at her with confusion before she had a big grin. "you will really be my mom?! Am i dreaming?! I would love that! I will call you Mama from now on!!" she mewed jumping around excitedly chanting that she had a mom. Littlekit instanly got into a playful pose, ready to once again play but this time with her new mom!
