Happy Mothers Day [Swiftheart] [Open]

Swiftheart was alone just outside of the camp exit. She sat looking at her front paws. The usually happy energetic she cat was not any of those things today. This was a complicated day for her. She missed Murkystar very much and even though so much time had passed it didnt make today any easier. As time continued on it actually made it harder in alot of aspects. It only served as a reminder for how alone she felt each time this holiday came. It was a short walk that her paws subconsciously carried her to the place where her mother was laid to rest.

The warrior had earlier invited Nightstar and Echo to join her but it looked like they were maybe busy for now. Which was fine she guessed. She didnt want to be clingy or overly needy. She felt that she had in the past especially to Nightstar and with all that had happened to him now he probably just wanted her out of his fur.

So she sat alone not really sure of what to say. Part of what made it even harder for her was that she knew that Murkystar was now not even a part of starclan anymore since she had sacrificed herself during the battle of the dark forest. Now she wasnt even apart of their ancestor clan. Where she was Swiftheart did not know but she hoped that it was somewhere nice. Some place warm with a lot of sun and where there was no troubles or worries like there was here. Maybe Murkystar would have a new family there that she could hold close. Swifhteart wished very much so that this was true and chose to believe it even if it was not true. Believing in that happy ending for her mother was the only way she was able to continue onwards without her.


Shakily and slowly resting a paw next to the marker, she said a few quiet words to herself.

"I miss you... maybe one day we can be together again"

even as much as Swiftheart loved to believe in things and dream up fantasies the last part of getting to see Murkystar again one day still seemed impossible even to herself. Murkystar was gone forever and that was something that would never change.

The way Swiftheart gazed at the marked grave reminded Harriertalon of how she would glance in the direction of Thunderpath every now and again. The very place her mother had both desperately lived and died protecting her child. Whoever lay within the tightly packed earth must have meant a great deal to the older warrior.

The ebony medicine cat apprentice didn't say a word as she sat beside Swiftheart, resting her head on white shoulders, a deep sigh heaving from her chest.

Harriertalon was lucky to have found her new home. While Leopardsun would be known throughout history as being her one and only mother, that didn't mean she didn't see others as a sort of parental figure as well. For Harriertalon, most - if not all - of the she-cats within ShadowClan were to be looked up to. Cherished.

She wished her birth mother could have joined her in clan life... To have lived the rest of her days without the worries of not having support. She hoped her clanmates would lean on each other during times where memories aren't always happy.
