Butterflypaw's First Hunting Patrol!

Lilacbreeze sat by the camp entrance with a smile on her small face. It seemed to bring life to the dark camp. She small She-cat waited for Butterflypaw to meet her like she had asked. A couple minutes passed and Lilacbreeze's tail swayed with annoynce. She hated late cats.

butterflypaw ran into the clearing sorry i had to help shadowpaw get a thorn out of her nest" she said skidding to a halt beside her "so what are we doing to day?" she asked.

Lilacpaw nodded "Today you will have your first hunting lesson. Follow me." She said running and jumping over dead trees.

butterflypaw tried to stay calm as she ran after lillacbrezze surprisingly staying up with her with the running but the jumping was a problem kinda

Lilacbreeze stopped at a clearing and smiled sweetly, waiting for her apprentince to catch up. "Okay, first show my your crouch." Lilacbreeze said smiling at the apprentince.

butterflypaw got down the form going through her mind. she soon got in the position but her tail was sticking out like a stick.

Lilacbreeze laughed and got into a perfect crouch. "Do like this and relax." she instructed smiling.

"ok" butterflypaw looked at her and relaced more and brought her tail to a snake like position but relaced.

Lilacbreeze smiled and nodded and pushed a rock out in frount of Butterflypaw. "That is very good Butterflypaw!" she mewed happily. "Now I want you to pretend this rock is a mouse. Show me how you would stalk it!" she continued pressing her tail agains the ground.

butterflypaw stalked the rock with both feet moving at the same time and with speed ran up and jumped on the rock. looking up to see if her mentor was proud.

Lilacbreeze smiled, but she stood up. "When you are stalking a mouse don't be too jumpy or they will run away. You seem to know that. Good job." She brushed agains her apprentince with a certain feel that made a tingle of happyness go through your body. "Now I want you to open your sences and tell me every single prey you can smell." She mewed opening her mouth a bit to catch the sent of the animals in the piney forest.

butterflypaw opened her mouth to scent the area. She soon caught the scent of a frog, crow, and a squirel. " i smell frog, crow, and a squirle" she said smiling.

Lilacbreeze opened her mouth and soon much more smells came into her scences. It was like a rush, Thunderpath, toads, a family of sleep mice, snakes, two crows, and a sleeping squirel. Lilacbreeze said nothing but nodded happily. "Now I want you to lead me to the closest animal and show me your move." She mewed looking at Butterflypaw.

"ok" she said getting down in her sniffing stance and followed the scent to a nearby tree were there was a squirle.

Lilacbreeze watched her with narrowed purple eyes and swished her tail as if to show to keep going.
