Clouds above threatened rain later in the day, but the imminent weather did not mean Skyclan's patrols stopped. A raccoon was sighted by an earlier patrol, and so naturally the response was to organize a pawful of cats to take care of it. Juniperheart, Fogpaw and Celandinepaw tracked the creature to halfstone. Raccoons could be troublesome, but the patrol of cats shouldn't have too much trouble with it if they were careful.
I'll control the raccoon, and will let you each get a post in before the fight starts.
Juniperheart’s fur was bristling at the ends, and it wasn’t just because of the static in the air. This would be the first time in her life that Juniperheart would be the only warrior on patrol, expected to watch over not one, but two apprentices. She had never gotten to meet Fogpaw and Celandinepaw before this, and part of her wishes she had— this certainly wasn’t the best time for first impressions. She was all nerves as she lead the group through the woods, eyes and ears out for any sign of the raccoon. All she could think about was it managing to take her by surprise, ambushing one of the apprentices from behind. If they were injured— or worse, even killed— it would be Juniperheart’s fault. She couldn’t live with that kind of weight bearing on her.
Nervously, the pretty molly glanced over her shoulder at Fogpaw and Celandinepaw, making sure they were following close behind. She wouldn’t let anything happen to them on her watch.
