❖Detailed Description: Crane is someone who prefers her own company. She's normally a stolid individual but it isn't too difficult to press her buttons. She values logic and appreciates those who think with their minds rather than blindly following their hearts. Despite her aloofness, she is loyal to her clan but especially her family (and those who become like her family).
She's rather confident in her abilities but isn't too prideful to admit her faults. She works better by herself but will (begrudgingly) team up with others should the need arise. However, she has little patience for incompetence and will quickly take the reigns (even if she was not the chosen leader) to steer everyone back on track. She's a tiny bit of a perfectionist but that doesn't control her life. She'd just rather things turn up well but if things don't go as planned, she'll do her best to mend the situation.
She loves to learn and tries to keep up with all the happenings inside and outside the clan. She isn't too warm with those outside of her clan but she'll try to be civil. She doesn't care about what others think of her and continues on, ever confident.
Crane appreciates beauty and will try to collect anything that catches her eye (which isn't a lot surprisingly). She keeps her possessions close and anyone who dares touch them will face swift retaliation. However, she will rarely give out gifts to those who had truly woven themselves in her heart.
❖Detailed Description: Crane is a strong, lean, she-cat with silky, medium-long, lilac-colored fur, and light greenish-yellow eyes. She has cream markings on her muzzle, neck, chest, belly, and on the inner sides of her limbs. Her fur is longer around the neck, legs, and tail and is shorter everywhere else. She has the average build of a riverclan cat but has a graceful look to her overall.

Born as one of a small litter of two to parents Clearpuddle and Sleetfoot, Cranekit was the eldest kit with her sister, Dovekit, only a minute younger. Clearpuddle was an attentive mother who clearly loved her kits. Sleetfoot wasn't as present in their lives as he took his duties as a warrior very seriously but he wasn't absent. Whenever he had time, Sleetfoot would share stories and prey with his young daughters and even played with them (mostly with Dovekit as Cranekit isn't fond of playing). However, one evening, Sleetfoot never returned from his duties. The two kits were under the impression that he was simply too busy and would arrive later than usual. It was only when Clearpuddle tucked them into their nest at night with heavy sorrow in her eyes that they found out that Sleetfoot had been killed by a stray dog. He would never be coming back.
That had been the start of a series of incidents that eventually led to young Cranekit's loneliness.
A moon had passed after their father's death. The three were constantly in a somber mood. It was during what should have been a typical morning that things went awry again. Dovekit had enough mourning and decided to sneak out of the camp to visit her father's grave. The thing was, she didn't know where it was at. She couldn't ask anyone or they would find out her plans and would put an immediate end to them. She decided to just follow the river and perhaps, along the way, the grave would be spotted. At least, that was the plan. Sadly, the young kit wouldn't make it far in her venture. Only a couple of feet outside of the camp, Dovekit got too close to the edge and slipped into the river. Only her cries of fright were the only warning the warriors received before she was swept away too quickly to save. It was only Clearpuddle and Cranekit left.
Clearpuddle never stopped mourning her lost daughter. Day and night the queen would cry. Once the physical tears had stopped, her heart continued in their place. However, the queen knew that Cranekit still needed her. So, she doubled her efforts in watching and caring for her remaining kit. It was almost smothering to Cranekit, who would rather be left alone. Despite this, Cranekit loved her mother more than ever for her efforts. She made sure to spend as much time as she could with her. She was scared. She didn't want her to go away, like Sleetfoot and Dovekit...but it seemed like life had other plans.
Clearpuddle had fallen ill. Each day, the queen would grow weaker and weaker. No matter how hard anyone tried, nothing could be done for her. Cranekit was forced to see the last piece of her family fall away. It was then that Cranekit had to come to terms with how quickly things can just disappear. She had to grow up. She didn't want to lose anyone else, so, she didn't let anyone in. She kept herself separated from her den mates and the other queens. She was determined to look after herself.
Moons passed and the barrier she had created wasn't holding as strong as it used to. She was softening up, only barely. She interacted with others here and there. She didn't like to but she still allowed those moments. She quickly picked up her love of learning and spent her days eavesdropping on conversations to learn more. She wanted to be someone who her family could be proud of, who she could be proud of. Once she became an apprentice, a whole new world of possibilities would open up to her. She just had to wait.
