"Where is it..." mumbled Cranekit as she dug around her nest vigorously. There was a deep, troubled look on her face. It was gone! Her lucky river stone was missing from her nest! Her belly tightened as she continued to swipe around and nothing came up. Did she misplace it? Did someone steal it? That made her scowl. She sure hoped that nobody did. She was going to give them a piece of her mind if it turned out that it was stolen. Everyone in the was made aware that she would not tolerate someone messing with her stuff. What little she had collected was precious to her, especially the stone. Her mother had given it to her. It was the only physical thing she had to remember her by.

She sighed in frustration. So, it wasn't in her nest. Okay, there was no need to panic. There were many places to look still. She should probably ask someone if they've seen it around. She was still hoping that she had only misplaced it. If someone had taken it then it could be anywhere by now!

Cranekit took a while to search around the nursery and peek in the other nests but there had been no luck. She bit her lip. Well, it wasn't inside the nursery. It had to be somewhere around the camp. So, off she went.

The she-kit nearly bowled over another kit when she had raced out of the den. It was an older, orange kit. Sunkit was his name? She wasn't sure but she didn't really care. It wasn't important right now. "Hey. Have you seen my stone?" she asked quickly, nearly nose-to-nose with the kit. Her light green eyes were piercing into his. She suddenly backed away after realizing that she was uncomfortably close to him. "It's smooth, almost perfectly round, and a whitish gray," she listed off with some impatience. When had she last seen the stone? It was probably the day before. She should start by trying to remember where she had been and perhaps try to retrace her steps?

Sunkit

Riverclan Camp

Sunkit was bored, and had nothing much to do. He was going into the nursery to seek out Rookkit, in the hopes that his best friend was feeling well enough to come out of the nursery and hang out with him. He was musing on what they could do, when suddenly someone skidded to a stop in front of him. Sunkit blinked rapidly as he stared into the eyes of the kit now directly in front of him, staring back at her light green eyes with his own dark green ones.

It took him a minute to even register what she asked, taken off guard as he was. He blinked, and placed the name a moment later. Cranekit, wasn’t it? She was younger than he was, one of the newer arrivals to the nursery. “Uh…” Sunkit started, very intelligently.

Then he shook his head and straightened up. He tried to think as she described the stone to him. “No, I’m sorry, I haven’t seen anything like that… Maybe I could help you look for it though!" Recovered from his stunned state, Sunkit’s permanent cheer returned to his face and a big grin broke out across his face. “When’s the last time you saw it? Was it in the nursery?” He began to look around, stepping back from the other kit and scanning the area surrounding the nursery. Cranekit seemed agitated, so the stone must be important.
