All of You

Swiftheart was glad to be back home finally after all the chaos of fourteees and then highstones.  She had heard about windclans trespassing and it worried her that they were already willing to try and steal resources.  Luckily, her brother who she trusted 100% had gone to talk things over.  It turned out the alliance they had was no more apparently and so that was not the best of news but she understood why he did so.  They had attacked hare and had stolen from them they couldn’t exactly be aligned or trust a clan that did that.


As such, she wanted to make sure that the apprentices were fully ready for anything come their way, if windclan was willing to break alliance and to attack warriors who knew what they would do now that they were not in an alliance would they be so bold as to attack an apprentice?  Swiftheart hoped not but it was better to overprepare than under.  It was practice time for these apprentices… hmm but an experienced warrior wouldn’t really be fair against an apprentice now would it?  Hmm what to do what to do…

She grinned to herself getting an idea

“Apprentices! Practice spar.  Any apprentice that wants to can team up and face me.” She meowed to the apprentice den.

“It will teach you to work together and although I hope you will not need these skills it’s possible you may have to fight warriors and opponents bigger than you in the future, anyone who wants to may join in we start in 5 minutes out in the sandy training area. “. She instructed

This would be good, she was guessing that maybe 2 or 3 would show up and give her a challenge but if more came to that was fine she was perfectly fine if they won, this was more so a challenge for them to work together on. And, it could get her some practice in how to deal with multiple opponents and how to try and survive until help were to come if this was a real battle. No claws were gonna be used and she told whoever came with her of this rule and then they were ready to begin

Badgerpaw had claimed a nest near the entrance - just out of sight unless one poked their head in, but allowed her a good view when cats did approach. When she heard pawsteps grow louder, she couldn't help but raise her head to fix a wary glance at the door before she realized it was just Swiftheart.

...Practice spar? Her ears flickered at the invitation, brow furrowing. She...Wasn't all that good at fighting. Leopardsun was teaching her what she could but... Slowly, to her own surprise, she found herself rising to her feet. She knew she didn't want to partake - she would just make a fool of herself and that wouldn't help anyone. But... Maybe she could just watch if other apprentices did show up?

Her eyes flickered over to her siblings, before she turned and pushed herself out of the den - padding towards the training area. As she approached, her ears quickly slicked back as she shifted to take a seat at the side. "I-I don't want to partake! Is it cool if I just...Watch?" she asked, tail swishing. "I'm um...Still learning. I just... I just want to watch, try to learn things."

Swiftheart smiled at Badgerpaw,

"yeah that would be fine, you can just watch. Sometimes you learn alot just by watching things so yes that is very much so okay" she purred softly with a nod.

"All you had to say was spar!" Mewed Tigerpaw as he dashed from the den, hot on Swiftheart's heels. He had just been cleaning his fur, minding his own business, but something the apprentice loved doing was proving his worth. Maybe showing off some freshly learned battle moves would do the trick. Of course, no claws were to be involved, which was for the best, he knew, but it still made it a little more boring.

Tigerpaw looked over at Badgerpaw, curiosity writ plain on his face. "I think one of the best ways to learn is to do, but if you're gonna watch, you should probably ignore whatever I'm doing and just watch Swiftheart. I mean I'd bet the apprentices will lose anyway since she's got so much experience. Still! I'll try to make it fun to watch!" He gave her a smile, and sat before Swiftheart, ears perked up and ready whenever more apprentices approached.

Swiftheart grinned and gave a playful nod to Tigerpaw. She was friendly and liked getting to know the apprentices, she saw Tigerpaw as energetic and eager to learn which was great!

"Too kind Tigerpaw, and yes I will not make it easy for you but your denmates will have the advantage in numbers"

Batpaw had no interest in sparring whatsoever. He was too beautiful for that. But Harrierpaw would offer him up to clean the elders den if she caught up with him. "...Just watch the face." His ears flicked back, stepping behind his sister Badgerpaw.

”Wait for me!” Applepaw exclaimed, racing over to join his denmates. It felt like it had been ages since he’d had a good spar, and although his leg wasn’t fully healed he wasn’t about to let that stop him from having fun.

”I’m sure we can beat you easily.” He bragged as he sat down next to Tigerpaw, a cocky smirk on his face. He was honestly worried his skills had gotten a bit rusty due to the time he’d spent in the medicine den, but he’d rather spend the next moon fishing for ticks than admit it.

”Whats wrong with you two?” He said after he noticed Batpaw and Badgerpaw didn’t seem interested in joining them. ”Surely you’re not scared of a little friendly spar?” He cocked his head curiously as he spoke, a teasing glint in his eyes.

It didn't take long for Nightstar to hear the commotion and to come out of his den. Nightstar paused and observed the situation, Swiftheart goading all of the apprentices into a spar. Finding some interest in it, to see how many of the more recent apprentices responded to the challenge. He needed to know Shadowclan's youth, after all, and not just his own apprentice. Padding to the side of the camp, the leader gave the growing congregation lots of space, he didn't want to influence anything after all.

Swiftheart grinned happily at all the apprentices eagerly had joined her.

Four apprentices took her up on the challenge.  With badger wanting to watch for now.

She nodded raising an eyebrow.

"Hmm a 4 vs 1? Applepaw, Tigerpaw, Harrierpaw and Batpaw are you all ready?" she grinned widening her stance and narrowing her eyes at them all.  She flicked her tail back and forth very focused.  This was gonna be super fun and she couldnt wait to see what all they had learned so far.


"Ready set go!" she explained eagerly and loudly.

She knew that the four of them would quickly overwhelm her so she had to focus and take them out one at a time and maybe she would stand a chance.  Applepaw had seemed the most confident, maybe by taking him out first she would lower their moral a bit.

She lunged at him suddenly while keeping mindful not to let herself be surrounded.

She managed to outmanver the apprentice and grabbed hold of his unprotected tail and gave it a yoink.  Not enough to really hurt him but it would for sure be waking him up and send the clear signal to watch his tail more in the future, if this was a real fight he woulda been toasted before it even progressed even further.

Swiftheart used tail yank on Applepaw,  Stunned for 1 turn -10 hp -15 sp

She managed to tug and get him off balance before letting go and darting back away quickly before the others could react.  She gave a playful grin at them.

"cant catch me" she giggled a bit.  She hadn't even noticed her brother had shown up to spectate yet

Tigerpaw had been ready since he heard the words training spar, but hadn't quite been prepared for the speed of which Swiftheart told them to go. He could only watch as she gave a firm pull to Applepaw's tail, sending him off balance. Looking for weaknesses, the apprentice decided that simple was the way to go, forcefully batting at Swiftheart's side.

Tigerpaw used Front Paw "Strike", dealing 6 damage and using 7 stamina!
