Whisperear

Whisperear thought it would be best to give hunting another go. It was a bit easier to hunt around here, with the plentiful mice that didn’t seem to leave even though they knew the amount of cats that prowled around here. Perhaps the food available by the twolegs was just too tempting. Whisperear could understand that…it was almost tempting to grow comfortable here at the twoleg farm for the same reason. They could not necessarily blame kittypets for being comfortable with their lifestyle. However, no amount of food would make Whisperear accept staying here instead of returning home to their friends and family.

…for now, though, they just had to eat.

Spotting a mouse, Whisperear began to approach carefully, preparing to pounce and grab it. These mice were used to cats being around, though…and so the mouse easily evaded their clumsy paws and scurried away faster than Whisperear’s tired bones could keep up. Whisperear slowed down and sat, feeling a little defeated. Even away from WindClan, in this place full of mice…they couldn’t do something as simple as catch one. Whisperear often tried not to think about it…but their confidence in being a warrior waned every day they were stuck here.
