Let's Collect some Feathers [Closed]

After everything that had been going on.. Things finally seemed to settle some. Enough so that Starlingflare felt comfortable to take his apprentice back into Thunderclan territory to take care of an owl that seemed to be lingering in the territory. Probably injured from recent events but a threat was a threat.

The single eyed tom looked back at his apprentice knowing they were close to the owl. "Are you ready?" He asked, wanting to make sure. He knew it wouldn't be too big of a threat but still an apprentice was an apprentice. He didn't need anything happening to them.

It had been awhile since Brightpaw had been on Thunderclan territory she had been recovering from fox injuries and she was finally able to be on Thunderclan territory once more. Even though her reunion with the the territory will be spent fighting with an owl she did want to see if she was comfortable fighting again. She had heard how things had been weird before she stepped out of the medicine den but thought nothing of it probably wouldn’t be a huge deal.

Starlingflare her current mentor asked if she was ready ”Yeah, I think I am at least”. This meant that she was going to face an owl very soon and she was glad that Starlingflare was by her side for this.

Starlingflare nodded. "I will be right by your side. If you get overwhelmed just get back okay?" He said with some care in his tone. He wasn't going to risk his apprentice's wellbeing. After that was established the tom moved forward. He would be the one to provoke the owl, the one to hopefully be the focus of it's anger.

It sat on a low branch, one foot tucked up into it's feathers, looking unsteady, but it seemed to be in fighting shape. As soon as Starlingflare got close enough, it came down from it's branch. A single set out talons out stretched to attack.

Starlingflare braced himself for the attack, feeling the single set tear into his fur, but he was quick to counter. If he pinned it then it should be easy to finish it from there.

Owl used Talon Strike dealing 7 damage, - 10 SP

Starlingflare used leap and hold dealing 10 damage, -15 SP. Owl is pinned for Two Turns!

Well Brightpaw wasn’t sure whether to feel exited or not. Maybe it couldn’t be a bad experience because she had a get out of getting injured backup plan by just staying in the back. However she did not intend to use that plan if she didn’t fight now then when later? Starlingflare had said to stay in the back if things had gotten out of paw so maybe it wasn’t plans but after getting injured which wouldn’t be happening but might she could go to the back.

There it was sitting on the branch as if mocking her she wanted to lunge at it but didn’t because she knew she couldn’t jump that high. As she looked closer it seemed unsure but she hadn’t seen an owl before so it might have not been. So then how did it feel about cats walking up to it?

As Starlingflare approached, provoked and, pinned the owl she knew this was an opportunity to attack but what attack to use and when? Well she knew the basics and slashed as hard as she could at the owl.
