Batsong prepared some travel herbs for both herself and for Ravenpaw. It was time for the young cats moonstone. Even though Batsong had done this many times she still got excited whenever she got to lead an apprentice to the moonstone, it marked an important step in their journey to becoming a warrior of the clan.

Going to the apprentice den she got ravenpaw and fed them the herbs as she ate hers as well, they did not taste the best but they would provide the energy needed to make the trip.

The shy med cat purred softly and flicked her tail for the apprentice to follow along "Tonight you will meet with a starclan cat and they will give you adivise she explained.

"All you will have to do is go through the cave tunnel and rest next to the giant glowing moonstone,... you will know it when you see it... it is beautiful she added on quietly

Time skip requested

The walk was luckily uneventful and no predators or foes interrupted their walk which she was very grateful for
Getting to the cave entrance she guided the young apprentice through the dark tunnel until they came to the open area which held the moonstone, the small hole that let the moonlight through was illuminating the stone to be very glowing.

Batsong sat next to the stone to keep watch as the apprentice dreamed.

Ravenpaw found the whole idea of a moonstone trip pretty dumb. What did some old musty cat have to offer him that he'd need to know? There was nothing to be attained from this that he couldn't figure out otherwise, in the real world, not some weird starry plains that no one except maybe medicine cats cared about anyway. He'd already resigned himself to a night of smiling and nodding at whatever advice he was given, then turning right back around and living his life like normal. It was, all in all, just a waste of time and energy that could be better spent genuinely helping his Clan.

But if he had to do it due to age-old tradition - whatever. He ate the herbs Batsong gave him without so much as a peep (internally, though: why did they taste so bad) and sat past her little lecture with the same attitude, staring blanky ahead and letting her words go in one ear and out the other. I know what the journey is, thanks. It'd be great if we could get on with it.

Get on with it they did, and Ravenpaw couldn't help but be impressed at the large size of Mothermouth. He didn't like the sheer blindness within the caves, and how it forced him to truly rely on Batsong; but he ended up doing so without difficulty until the Moonstone's light found its way into little crevices in the cave. The apprentice squinted as he glared at the stone a minute before padding towards it. It wasn't impressive. It wasn't. He refused to be impressed by a piece of rock that just so happened to look vaguely cool because of a random stream of moonlight.

Smile and nod, repeated his brain as Ravenpaw touched his nose to the stone and allowed sleep to take over.
