Blossomkit's Apprentice Ceremony

The rain still hadn't stopped, and the coldness was gradually beginning to become unpleasant. Perchstar enjoyed the rain as much as the next RiverClan cat, or perhaps even more than most. But nonstop? Even her own nest was beginning to get soaked. From the recent deaths in the Clan, to Poppyshine's illness, and now this weather... were the stars trying to tell her something? She couldn't shake the uneasy feeling. But maybe that was because she now had to apprentice Blossomkit, who was probably the most troublesome cat in the whole Clan. Maybe someone could help temper her wildness, like Stormdance had for Rowanpaw. But who? "Let all cats old enough to catch their own fish gather for a Clan meeting," Perchstar called, flicking the rain off of her ears with a white paw. The rain wouldn't stop anytime soon... and neither would RiverClan's many troubles.

Finally! Blossomkit was finally going to be an apprentice! She'll get to go outside of camp! All her previous attempts were thwarted, while by her own littermates, Woolywing, or just some random clan-mates, so now that she was finally going to be allowed out had her ecstatic! Rushing out of the nursery, her fur unkempt and wild, she skidded to a stop and looked up at Perchstar expectantly. Her mentor better be good!

Perchstar took a brief moment to shake some of the rain from her pelt. Blossomkit had arrived under the Willow Branch. The leader flicked an ear as she thought, considering the small she-cat. Hopefully, the freedom of becoming an apprentice would inspire her to be more responsible and less selfish. "Blossomkit, you have reached the age of six moons and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Blossompaw. Your mentor will be Hawkshriek. I trust he will pass down all he knows to you."
