Flight of a Moth [Mothpaw]

Crowspirit

As dusk shined on the orange hues of the sky, it signaled Crowspirit that it was time for her apprentice would start training. She tried to recall back to her first sessions with Marshmallow and trusting she should do the same, the molly enthusiastically approached the apprentices' den. "Mothpaw, are you awake? It's time to start our first training session," She mewed in a lowered voice, careful to not wake anyone else. At the movement of the she-cat, she would head out, waiting for her to be prepared. Once Mothpaw was, she would lead them outside the territories, careful to avoid deeper parts of the marshland.

Crowspirit

Crowspirit watched in joy as her apprentice took in everything. It made her recall her first moments being outside, too. Everything was so grand and wonderous, she longed to explore every corner the marshland had, and now, she did. She was just to be wary of predators lurking around. And for that reason, she took her apprentice where more prey and fewer predators hid, praying silently that their session will go well.

"We're here," She smiled. "This is The Pine Grove. It isn't as dangerous as deeper parts of the marshes, still, some predators could hide here since prey is more full around these areas. I want you to keep an eye out. Today we'll start your first hunting session!" Now, it was time to instruct her an example of what to do. "You must learn how to crouch. Not too low so that you'll become awkward in movement, but too high and the prey will see you. Here," Crowspirit crouched down, her poise accurate as she watched her apprentice follow. Correcting Mothpaw in some spots, though not much, she was to move on to actual examples now.

"Now, I'll demonstrate a hunt." Whiskers twitching, the warrior identified the scent of mice, quickly crouching down to approach the scent. Slowly, she approached it, not making a sound. Then she pounced — the rodent caught neatly between her teeth. Turning back to Mothpaw, she would bury it, careful to hide the prey from predators finding out. "Now you give it a try. Good luck!"

"you did it! Good job!" Praised Crowspirit, unable to keep the proud grin off her face. "It's simple, isn't it? Let's continue." She purred. The molly turned again to raise her nose, attempting to detect another prey hiding around. Catching the scent of one, she crouched again, skillfully moving towards her target before she leaped. The mouse swiftly caught in her jaws, she would set them to the slowly growing pile of prey.
